So when I'm just idle on the desktop EVGA Precision uses over 1% of CPU. Its Precision server, Precision server (32bit) and EVGA PrecisionX 16.

Is this normal? if so can EVGA make it more efficient? I feel like it shouldn't be using any CPU at all.

A very small amount of background usage with PrecisionX is normal, particularly if it is polling in real-time the information on the card's temps, fan speeds, clocks, usage, TDP, etc. 1% should not effect the performance of the system in game, but we would expect the program to use a small amount when it is running. To limit the amount that the CPU is used, we would recommend that you keep the OSD (on screen display) disabled as that is tied to the Precision Server EXE.
