I should work on any product that uses a 6 & 6 or an 8 & 8 power connection. It won't work on the cards that use a 8+8+6 connection.

Can I make a recommendation to have that listed under the product's main site that it will work with any card  (Maxwell, Pascal, etc.)? There's a lot of confusion out there that the powerlink will only work with Pascal.

I was wondering about that, but the spec sheet says any EVGA graphics card with the following configuration:

I hope Titan X P is covered, even though it's not EVGA. The Powerlink has capacitors for power filtering, I wonder if that may have some bearing on where it can be used, since it's not purely an extension as such..

Note from the manual : The EVGA PowerLink is designed to carry up to 300watts or 25amps@+12-volt, and the connectors are NOT connected via wires internally, but by a conductive rail which all (both PSU side and both potential GPU side) connectors are attached to. This is why it is recommended that you ALWAYS have both 8-Pin connectors attached from the PSU side, to ensure the GPU will have ample power.

The PCI-E connectors must face right way and nor be too far from the back of the card. As the rails are polarized it won't work backwards. They said some freaky cards had power connectors in the middle and a select few had more than 2 plugs. But the vast majority of 900 and 1000 series cards are perfectly fine, even AMD cards.
