Bruno747 Do we have any updates as to the shipping dates, I never got any confirmation email, but the site said that I had gotten in on the free ones... As far as any orders through the EVGA shop were concerned (not just the power boosters), EVGA stopped shipping a little before Christmas Day and did not plan to resume shipping again until 4th of January I believe it was, which means they'll be dealing with a bit of a backlog as well. I imagine if the power boosters are not already on the way, they will be going out the door shortly, but at earliest would have only been sent 2 days ago. Give it until mid/end of next week is my guess. Hope that helps.

that is a problem. best thing to do would be to dremmle off a piece of the pcb on the powerboost so it will fit. there shouldnt be anything but plastic in the section you'll need to remove.

Strange.. those on the 'first 75 free' list late last year have not received them, but those who ordered online a few days ago have?

FYI for those moaning about cost - the postage alone was $5.20. The packaging is very professional - I was very surprised EVGA were able to make such a professional looking/packaged product from scratch so quickly. Well done, and thank you. is nice!

eppopipe Just thought some of you would like to know. Being that I built my buddies computer, today we tried to RMA the board due to the "issue" at hand here. (Its a ASUS board!) No go, no chance. Ive been on the phone with asus for a couple hours now with no sight of them replacing this board. Ive been told to call back for a RMA once and if anything does happen. So there, in my own personal experience, I will not recommend ASUS, and commend EVGA for their efforts. Id sooner drive nails into my hand than buy another ASUS board..

A lot of non-EVGA board owners grabbing them is my guess, and as xqxqxq said, maybe a few buying bulk for resale. I guess it's too late to restrict buyers to "registered EVGA board owners only" for the first few weeks of retail supply.

I'm dumb. I still don't get it. Where do you plug in the power end? I understand where it goes into pci-e slot. I'm confused about the other end.

Plug it into a 12V molex coming from your PSU. Basically it's there to supply additional power to the PCI slots.

Its funny I just did my research on this thing and I still dont know exactly what it does... I have an X58 Classified E760 and a 480 with my Antec 1200 Watt Psu do I need this ? Granted my PSU is kick ass and can handle 4 480's (Can run up to 2000watts) I would like evga to elaborate more on exactly what this thing is and what it does. To be honest I spent 1000's on Evga hardware and am starting to get ticked off by the little addons that should have come with the motherboard in the first place. I bought my 480 I need to buy a high airflow bracket... I buy the Highairflow bracket the backplates come out to reduce the temps... I just want to be kept in the loop like everyone else... Also for the record I spent 4 grand on my pc and dont have the 20 bucks to spend for this item it would bring my aftermarket parts total up to about 100 bucks of all the junk accesories I had to buy from evga... It adds up...

As for the "extras" you bought.None of those are factory or Nvidia spec .You choose to buy those .Not having them does not lessen or make your product not work.Like buying a lift kit(or glossy paint option) for a truck, you choose to buy it for its ability to offer a current product something better in performance or looks .

You are right completley bud and I give credit where its due but what about those whose cards were overheating and they HAD to buy the backplate and highairflow bracket. Thats another example all together thats like buying a pack of ciggarates but with no lighter lol... Cant compare that to needing something otherwise it wont work or wanting a nifty little paint job :P Either way Im still a huge Evga fan since I got my 6800 Ultra Extreme Edition from them. I just dont like the tacticts to the accesories... I paid 4000+ for my pc dont regret it one bit but I am broke as a joke right now and would appreciate one for free haha... Not going to happend :(
