I'll definitely pick one up, looks good and my current bridge is the standard flexible ugly one. I've experienced texture flickering in so many games in the past under SLI, although not yet on my GTX 980s. Anything that helps.

Would the short 2-way bridge work for my ASUS x99 Deluxe? Slotted are red.

Jacob,

Will the 3 way bridge work with only 2 Video Cards?

Looking forward to these even though I just picked up the Nvidia ones
I guess I'll just have to make more builds to put then into

MY AFFILIATE CODE: X6EXZ64PSH

Velocd,

I have the same board as you. You would need the long bridge. The 3 Way SLI bridge would be too long, and the standard would be too short.
Hope this helps,
-Burke

Depends on the motherboard. My 60mm 2way sli bridge goes from slot 1 to slot 4 on the Maximus VI Formula.

Thanks! I failed to notice there were images of the bridge showing the connectors, it's more apparent to me now.

jacob is the high pixel rate supposed to fix this issues?

Hi guys,

today I received my 3 GTX 980 SC with reference cooler. I installed them successfully, but when I run 3D Mark my screen blink few times and PC freezes. I tried Battlefield 4, while game loading screen is blinking and after loading is done I can here widows error sound, black screen and everything freezes again. I tried all cards separately they work fine, but as soon as I enable SLI it crashes. I tried 2 way SLI still getting the same problem. I have 3 GTX 980 SC with ACX 2.0 cooler they work perfectly fine, I decided to buy cards with reference cooler because ACX 2.0 getting very hot under load in 3Way sli. Can you please help me with your advice what should I try, should I do RMA or should I do some more testing? I reinstalled windows, thought maybe something was linked to my old cards and was conflicting with new cards, but it didn't helped. Few times I did clean driver installation.

Thank you!

jrarentz
I just installed 2 GTX 980s in SLI and I am getting this terrible flickering in games.
using the latest driver 344.75
Windows 7 64-bit

Zordrack
vinhus
I only play battlefield from BF2 Badcompany to Bf4 , and tried driver from Ver 344.11 up to the current 344.65 ( also did reinstall Win 8.1-64 before try those drivers). Issue still.,,
Thanks!

I did the same thing here. The issue happen in any 3d app (Far cry3, crysis 3, batman arkham city, unigine valley, 3dmark ) as soon as the cards are under load the screen become black and it crash.

Boegner
I did some more testing over the weekend.  I think I found a big clue to the problem.  To date, 2 way SLI has always work perfectly for me (regardless of 980 cards, MB, or PCI slots I use). But for the first time yesterday I saw the identical flicker with 2-way SLI,  What changed?  The 2-way bridge was on the connector closest to video out ports. (I normally use the one closer to the middle when running 2-way).  When I move the 2-way bridge back to my normal spot the flicker went away. This same result occurred with all 3 of my 2-way SLI bridges.

Could others check this with their rig.  Thanks.

Z77 - ASUS Maximus V extreme,  8GB of Ram,  Core i7-3770K,  Corsair AX1200i power, 2 Samsung 840pro 256 GB in Raid zero, Dual boot Win 7 and and Win 8.1,  21:9 monitor (3440x1440 res)  LG 34UM95-P 34"   3-way SLI - (EVGA 04G-2983-KR) GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0

I did some testing with sli bridge:

2 way sli that work

2 way sli that work

3 way sli don't work

3 way sli don't work

3 way sli don't work

none of these worked

3 way sli working in windowed mode

with the dip switch here I can turn on/off each pcie slot, so tested each card in each slot and they are all working perfectly by themselves. I'm pretty sure the hardware is not failing and other people here are experiencing the same issue with different board. I really don't want to test an other mobo.

other test I did that didn't help:
-installed windows on an other ssd with nothing else except the nvidia driver
-clean driver uninstall in safe mode and installed every possible driver
-updated bios, reseted bios/cmos
-updated windows and every possible driver
-cleaning the SLI ports on the cards with isopropyl
-downclocking the core gpu
-tested every output
-tested different cable
-tested different display monitor/tv
-Pulled the bridge slightly out so it doesnt bottom, flipped it, moved it while it was under load
nothing work.

I found some sort of work around to make3 way sli work. My monitor 1440p plugged in the dvi port and my tv 1080p is plugged in the hdmi port. If I clone the monitor display with my tv I can use 3 way sli without crashing. But the resolution drop to 1080p. I tested with 3dmark and the third card is working because I get much higher score than two way sli.

That's weird why does it work in duplicate screen or single screen in windowed mode but not in full screen with single monitor.

My display model is a Qnix2710 evolution II connected with a d-dvi cable male/male and my tv is a samsung ue55f6400 connected with an hdmi cable. I'm using the d-dvi port and the hdmi port on the first card.

I'm using the pcie_x16_1, pcie_x8_2 and pcie_x16/x8_3 like it's written in the manual for 3 way sli. The power plug(ez-plug) at the bottom is connected. I also connected both eatx plug(8 and 4 pins) for the cpu at the top.

I also noticed when the screen become black if I wait long enough it will sometimes go back to desktop with error message unigine stopped working for example.

I really want this to work. I have been thinking about this issue night and day for the last week this is driving me crazy why 3 way sli wont work there's no reason... I don't see what else I could do. I bet the next driver update wont help.

bridge must be using pins to set the pixel clock

this also does the same NVIDIA-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

Scouts honor. :-) you can grab a tape measure, if you have one, and measure slot to slot. It is the same spacing as the SLI finger. The red slots are 40mm apart, for sure, so adding one in between would be 60.

If it is a metal tape measure, just put a piece of tape over the tape measure and don't push it into anything. Lol, I say it because some people will jam the hold tab into the slot... Don't do that. ;-)

Depends on the motherboard. My 60mm 2way sli bridge goes from slot 1 to slot 4 on the Maximus VI Formula.

Yes, yours are at 60mm.  we are talking about a completely different platform and you also skipping the rest of our conversation where it was discovered that he needs the 3 way bridge because of spacing due to his specific motherboard.

Yes, the 3-way SLI bridge will work if you're only using two cards and have to use them purely for spacing reasons.

No, the 4-way SLI bridge only works in 4-way configurations.

Re: EVGA PRO SLI Bridge V2 2015/04/11 00:16:29 (permalink)
Dreamss... Try uninstalling the drivers again. Then with all 3 cards enabled with the mb switch, install the NVidia drivers with all 3 cards at once.  Use one of the hard 3 SLI connectors. Make sure all monitors (if using multi monitors) are connected to the first card.
If your using the ribbon SLI cables you need to connect the first card to the 2nd and then the 2nd card to the 3rd. No criss crossing the ports or skipping card with the ribbons.

If that's still not working something is prob messed up in the os from all the drivers uninstalls and reinstalls.. prob left over crap. Try to uninstall the nvida drivers using DDU. If still nothing i'd just bite it and do a fresh install of windows.

P.S. Also only have the main monitor connected when you first try SLI the 3 cards. See if that works before connecting the other one.. might be getting all confused.

For those asking....If you're not sure on what SLI Bridge, get the 3 Way SLI it will fit, if you have that open space in between.
As you can see I have the old setup before the GTX 970 SC upgrade on my Rampage IV Black Edition same fit.

Love the new SLI look, but some how I always get screwed by EVGA!...

1st - When I purchased the old SLI Pro at the time it came out, it wasn't mention at all that the light wasn't going to work on the GTX 670 4GB SC.
2nd- I was basically rushed into buying the GTX 970 SC because of the advertising free backplate! waited so long for them due to backed up and lack of communication!
3rd- By that time I got everything together, I never got that chance to do the upgrade step program!on my GTX 970 SC "4GB" thanx! too the loooonnnng process and my constant detective calling EVGA!
4th- The old SLI Pro light also does not work for the GTX 970 SC I'm stuck with and Now this new SLI Pro only works with the GTX 970 SSC or better!

seems the DSR flicker is not from the sli bridge... BUT got SLI+GSYNC+DSR to work WOOT. im gonna call evga tomm and see if they can send me  nv bridge for testing

It worked just fine but rauires work and troubleshooting

seems nv control panel wont add the custom res when gsync is enabled

I had dsr running while full screen with no flicker for anything under 3840, seems rhe flicker is from running the full screen game with a diff res than the main monitor. i used nvlddmkm-patcher-full.exe (for just incase)

also changed my cards bios disp to 640, (red boxes in kep bios tweaker)

basicly had to change all this **** in the ss

Any one know what bridge would work on the Asus Maximus Hero VI? I have my cards in the 2 red slots' which are 2 and 4 I believe if counting the 1x slots. Though the spacing seems to be a little weird on the board. I picked up a 3 way pro bridge at micro center yesterday when I got my second 980 but it didn't fit. With the top fingers on, the middle ones are between the cards and the bottom ones are two low. Any help would be appreciated. Really like the look of these new bridges so will definetly pick one up when they become available (Hopefully soon).

It's cosmetic which is hard to patent it. The SLI bridge is probably owned by Nvidia. So basically all they could do would say "X company made a bridge that looks similar to our EVGA Pro V2 bridge" which would be the same case of Apple v Samsung, and the rounded corner.

Will the higher pixel clock support have any affect on multi-monitors? IE if I have 2 or 3 4k monitors hooked up to an SLI system, would the pixel clock be a bigger factor there than if it was just one? or is it only related to the SLI "focus display"? (though that makes me wonder about surround too)

So I have the Asrock X99 Extreme6/AC and its configuration is kind of different. I have had the HARDEST TIME finding SLI bridges for this board. It's right in between the 2way short and 2way long. Its actually 70mm (with 1 single pcie slot in between the two cards) or 2 and 3/4 inches. I bought 1 of each of Nvidias sli bridges, hoping that one of them would work, but none of them do. Nvidia shows the configuration that I need in this link: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3576/kw/sli%20bridge and here is a picture of my board with my video cards highlighted. EVGA, is there a way I can special order a 70mm length from you??? :(

From an earlier post by , the 2 way long is what you need, it is shorter than nVidia's two way long.

By who? I'm pretty sure the 2 way long is 60mm, thats what all the other posts are saying at least. And its what ASUS, Nvidia, and every other SLI bridge manufacturer builds as standard. The 2 way short is back to back video cards, and the 3 way is 80mm. I need 70mm :(

That board has the same SLI slot spacing as mine which uses a 60mm Bridge from connector to connector. The bridge doesn't have to cover the entire bottom card.

Where are you measuring from?  Standard spacing is 20mm between each slot which means 70mm is impossible or else the cards wouldn't line up with the openings on the back of the computer case.  What you highlighted in the picture should be a 60mm spacing.  On nVidia's site, their long is 80mm.
