While I see what EVGA was going for with the metallic industrialize design, I do feel it is a little aesthetically disjointed. Looks industrial vs sleek.

The benchmark graphs for 2-way SLI of a pair of FE gtx 1080's was most interesting. 2-way SLI showed almost twice the fps of a single 1080. It was not clear to me if the single 1080 was a standard FE card or the SC  acx-3. I presume a standard FE pased on the numbers.

note: the EVGA SC acx-3 card was not finished being benchmarked as the testers are getting ready to leave for Computex

It may just be an early lab built prototype.

edit. seeing the later posts makes me now think this isn't the case.

I kinda like it and I have not been a fan of the look of the prior versions.  It has me rethinking my options.  When they mention the EVGA logo can be customized via software, I assume that means some type of RGB thing.  I wonder if the white light that shines through the top and front of the card is controlled by the same software.  It would be really cool in my set-up to have the ability to adjust these and have the card itself give off some type of ambient lighting.  Not for everyone, I understand but I like the thought of it.  Hopefully we get more details soon.

Not feeling this look... at all. But honestly, the other leaks from Gigabyte, ASUS, etc are not that much better. What is it with the LED's this timearound?

Only one that hasn't been seen yet is MSI.

I figured out why I don't like it. It is the screws sticking out of the metal parts. Not only their shape but the color doesn't match or contrast the color of the metal. This is what the card looks like without the screws...

    much better IMO

Why do their benchmarks show it only being 2-4 frames faster than a GTX 980 TI? And why is the GTX 980 TI so far ahead of the Titan X?

Only a single 8 pin on the SC. FTW features 2 - 8 pins so I guess that is what I will be waiting for.

They are using an overclocked 980 Ti against stock 1080.

It's because they used an overclocked 980 TI (Asus Strix).  The Titan X was reference.  Not really much info here - they didn't even have a HB SLI bridge to test out.

I don't like the protruding LED part, looks ugly.
The 980Ti is right next to a 1080...I wonder why they didn't add a 980Ti SLI vs 1080 SLI here?

You guys see that Nvidia writing on the SC GPU PCB near the PCI-E fingers? It's using the reference PCB, and so of course it has a single 8-pin connector for power. The PCB itself has space and traces for a second 8-pin connector but no one will use it I guess. It is possible the same PCB is going to be used for other 10xx series cards.

The funny thing is that the render has an EVGA marking on the PCB

Yea it seems like they are using Founders Edition boards for the SC with the ACX cooler.  But the FTW is a new design because its wider and has dual 8 pins.

So the big question then is does the SC Power Limit Throttle like the Founders Edition cards do under a load like Crysis?

SC = Reference Board = one 8 pin

    FTW = Redesign = Dual 8 pin

Classified also redesign for water cooling enthusiasts.  But they didnt show it yet.

Those benchmarks are terribly misleading. A factory overclocked 980Ti (one of the fastest available), a stock Titan X, no stock 980 or 1080, mixed stock and factory overclocked 1080 SLI... Not the most helpful benchmarks I've ever seen.

Grills/Vents everywhere? = save on the heating bill, j/k

Looks like an autobot/cybertron model card

    P.S.:

Where are the led lights bato? does the light thingies come out or not homes?

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.
