Dear EVGA,

You denied my Step up after waiting over 4 months. And the reason is "Your Step-Up request has been declined due to the place of purchase not qualifying under the program's terms and conditions". Amazon is a qualifying distributor under your terms of conditions and now you will not honor it. This is not acceptable

    Hello,

I am sorry your step up requests were denied. I looked further into your step up requests and found the purchases were from an Amazon marketplace seller and the items were not sold or shipped by Amazon LLC.

No, incorrect, i purchased them from Amazon. They did not have anymore in stock after i placed the order, so they got their stock from a distributor first, then shipped me the items. They came from the Amazon Warehouse.

The Free 2-Day shipping is also an indicator it was also purchased using Amazon Prime.

The Original purchase was from a 3rd party, but because they ran out of stock after i ordered it, Amazon shipped it from their warehouse. My invoice says SOLD BY AMAZON.COM LLC

I've checked the invoice that you uploaded when you registered your cards, and it shows that the cards were sold by DealsPro1, not Amazon LLC. According to the shipping record for your serial numbers, they were sent from our warehouse to NewEgg, not Amazon.

From what I can see in the invoice that you've linked from imgur above, all the info on it matches, down to the order number, except for where the "Sold By:" field has been modified. The invoice that you've linked is invalid.

No, that is the invoice that was updated from Amazon. I just explained to you that the original order was modified because Amazon had to fulfill the order by shipping it to their warehouse. It sounds like you're trying to do and say anything you can to not honor your Step Up program. I provided you with the newer invoice and you are saying it is modified. Of course Amazon is going to modify the order, because they were now honoring the price match and sending me the hardware since the seller could not fulfill the order. Would you also like the email from the Amazon customer service rep who i spoke with to show more proof, or are you just going to give yet another excuse as to why you will not honor your program?

I am not here to make excuses or anything, but when you uploaded your receipt, you should have initially uploaded the amended receipt from Amazon. The Step up process goes off of the receipt loaded to your account, which shows that you originally purchased from a 3rd party reseller. No matter who fulfilled the order in the end, your uploaded receipt still shows an invalid seller which is what EVGA must go off of.

I have never seen EVGA try to find ways out of honoring the Step up process if the card was purchased from an authorized resales from the beginning, the card was registered within the alloted time frame, the receipt was uploaded, and the request submitted for step up.

I am sorry to see you going through these frustrations after waiting so long.

And that is understandable. But keep in mind that i have been waiting 4 months for the Step up and it slipped my mind to update the new details from Amazon. What bothers me is that i gave them the new information that is VALID and now that my cards are past the 90 days registration period and they now canceled my Step Up, the next thing i am going to hear is that because of that, they will not be able to honor still.

The product you are trying to Step Up was not purchased through Amazon LLC. Our records indicate that the item was shipped to Newegg so the original purchase invoice would have to come from them. Because this item was purchased then sold by DealsPro1 we are not able to honor the Step Up request. The order you have linked to does not have a different order number or any information that has been changed besides the seller. Unfortunately this is not a qualified purchase order that will pass the approval process.

    Game over

A perfect example of a lack of stock -and- a lack patience, leading to a very unwelcome and expensive result.
While do I feel sorry for the OP, there is no way for EVGA to be able to work with him. The chain of custody is quite clear in this case...
Originally sold by Newegg, bought DealsPro1 and the price was marked up and it was resold on Amazon.
-->Game completely Over as far as stepup is concerned

For those in a big hurry and buying for a future stepup, dont think the DETAILS do not really matter or you will end up like the OP

Well if that is the final say, that is totally fine then. I have just contacted Amazon and explained to them what is going on with the hardware and its eligibility and will be returning these cards and placing a new order from Amazon that originates from their warehouse. I hope i am not given any type of retaliatory treatment because i have been misled by Amazon.

Your smartass response was not necessary. In this case I AM NOT LOSING ANYTHING because i am returning these cards and placing a new order. Unless EVGA finds a way to take retaliatory measures against me (illegally) because of a technical error in part of Amazon, then they would be in much trouble for discrimination.

Thas was going to be my next suggestion, dealing with Amazon
Sounds like its going to work out OK, congrats.... hate to see bad things happen to anyone, especially to those willing to pay more than retail.

When it comes to great products and customer service nobody beats EVGA, thats why we all buy their stuff and hang around here

My comment was simply a warning to others buying from Amazon

You are certainly not the first or the last to end up here on the forums with -real problems- from buying on the Amazon Marketplace.
You are quite lucky Amazon is letting you return the cards, as that is not always the case...

They are letting me because of the implications their customer service has put me in from a financial standpoint. They realize that my intentions for the purchase and the process from EVGA must be honored. And in order to do so, their receipt and service must fall under the rules.

I am glad its working out...

Make sure you keep everything you get from amazon and get your cards registered and invoice uploaded...
And I wouldn't be surprised if you called EVGA and talked it over, that they might even (maybe) let you keep your place in stepup

    Thats EVGA

Well if that is the final say, that is totally fine then. I have just contacted Amazon and explained to them what is going on with the hardware and its eligibility and will be returning these cards and placing a new order from Amazon that originates from their warehouse. I hope i am not given any type of retaliatory treatment because i have been misled by Amazon.

There will be no retaliation at all. We are not pleased to have to turn down a Step Up by any means. Unfortunately we have to follow the terms to remain fair to everyone. Without being able to verify the invoice to our standards it is not possible to get the request approved.

I am glad to hear that Amazon is working with you on this issue. If you experience further hassle then PM me and I will see if there is anything we can do to assist you.

Man I here you on this one, I have NOT ordered from Amazon any EVGA Products because of this exact issue.
Even 3rd Party Sellers are Shipped and Marked Prime now and that is was is causing so many problems now.
