*looks out his window*Hmm nope...*looks again*Yea nope. I don't see ANY pigs flying nor has Hell frozen over. Seriously EVGA has over the last couple years or so become a vastly HUGE supplier of mobos, video cards and other various assorted hardware and software. Anyone who says EVGA is dumping it's mobo division should be tickled to death by a thousand evil grinning fluffy white bunnies.

I guess anything is possible but really think about it.It's not like there are a 1000 companies that make them nor more than a handful that makes good ones.So why would a company that makes some of the class leaders in mobo's just drop that line. That's like a rumor of Ford saying We are gonna quit making the F150.

I will quote the article.  It does not say that EVGA dropped there motherboard division anywhere.  It says that the R&D/Marketing/Developers in there motherboard division just quit

"It might sound strange that a whole unit at a company upped and left, but this is not at all unusual in Taiwan where many engineers will follow their team leader when he leaves a company."

I wouldn't put much stock in an artical that says ," and this would signal "no more motherboards coming from EVGA."  being that the artical came out withen a week of the X58FTW3, and the week the Pic's of the Next classafied were leaked, http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=396811 , I mean either they are releasing boards, or they are not, What does what you see, say ? I don't think this article says that "there will be no more motherboards from evga".  I believe they will just fill the classified ads with job postings (no pun intended).  The R&D team have been working on the x58ftw for the last 6+ months, that job is already completed.  This would affect the future development of EVGA motherboards (Sandybridge)

Check out the second line of the second paragraph of the Hardcopy artical, Inside the quotation marks.

Yes I do see that in the article.  I think its funny that one article says they left, and the other article says they were dismissed.  However I do believe something is up.  Why would this nonsense just appear on the web from multiple sources.  Time will tell.

    First ( unconfirmed speculation )

Second , Capatilism , and compatition are not a disaster, compatation, is good for everyone and drives prices, pay, and the market. I do not fault anyone for following whats best for them, their family, or their future, not only do we not know if they left, but we do not know why or if by choice, if they did, Unless you started your company, then you need to remember, that your company got along fine before they hired you, and will get along fine after your gone. Our fathers, fathers, may have stuck with a company for life, but your more than niave, if you think you will, or that they care if you do.

That would really be bad news.  I would tend to agree with Vistahead and bigpoppa.  Why would a random rumor just come out of thin air?  It is very hard  for any company to keep secrets these days.  Might not be true, but something may be up?

I seriously hope not.  I will just pretend I didn't read that article.

3 different topics on this already and Joe Darwin has even commented on it.
    Search does work guys.

Since you took the time to post that there are 3 different topics.....then why not just add the links to those threads?

Anything from that site should be treated with scepticism. SemiAccurate is directly funded by AMD and it's partners to smear their competition.

Take for examle this wonderful article title....

There are only rumors.  It's like me saying I would become a Moderator soon and I am going to lock half of the threads in this section of the forum....

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags!
The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. When you abuse it, it reverses on you and it hurts you.The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.
