Hopefully one is using the EK block. and the MSI is $809 USD at newegg. So that isn't too bad and will be around the cost of the hydrocopper anyway I think

Not a fan of this hydro copper design and the MSI one is not flat black which I would prefer... So now the question is do I order the Classified and an EK block (late july) or just get 2x FE cards with blocks already available... hmm

You could always wrap the nickel/plexi parts with matte black vinyl. I might do that since all of my other blocks are flat black as well.

The problem is the price that sea hawk MSI card is ridiculous at the moment, almost £900 in the UK. That would of got you a Kingpin 980ti and a waterblock before :/ I might slap an order on 2x FTW cards if they come in stock sooner than the classi, as they are also custom PCB and a lot less money. Decisions decisions...

Looks like USD is quite nice right now in the watercooled card market. I think $809 USD is quite reasonable seeing as how the card is 699 and the block should be about $124.

Problem is base cards should be 599 not 699.

I agree. Nvidia did some stupid stuff this time letting board partners undercut their FE cards. What is the business sense in that? None that I see

sam nelson I want 4 hydro copper titans any ideal how long till they come out ? and can I pre order?>
Predictions say 1500+ for Titan P and hydrocopper 1750 from evga? I think I'll stick with only two this time and use the HB bridge cause 7000 for video cards is definitely out of my league!

At this point it seems like waiting for a Titan is a better idea...this is crazy how long it is taking to get these cards out or even just have any reasonable stock for the ones that are out. May 27th was the launch...almost 2 months later and the cards that were announced are not even out and have August or late July estimations. I was going to SLI but I think I might wait for the Titan P at this rate... :( What's even worse is, unless they have some massive stock of the HC on release, good luck getting one to begin with. It'll be December before you see a set at your door.

How are people's experience with the hybrid? I have been using coppers since the 5 series but debating a hybrid to remove the gpu from my loop. both my 580 and 780 coppers also had low ASIC scores 71,69 respectively. So I am wondering if EVGA has been binning their low ASIC into coppers since they are only really required to run advertized clocks. Currently have my 780 copper underclocked by 100mhz to keep it stable in games that peg 100% use. I use Precision X, which puts it at 1001mhz on boost.

I don't know if I can wait till the end of next week. I'm thinking about just getting the cheapest reference I can get my hands on and put an EK block on it. The release date is the end of next week and we don't even know who is manufacturing the freakin block!

Tried to find it, maybe I am confusing the Classified date with the Hydro Copper. Jacob might have mentioned it on one of the live streams though. Regardless I just found out that my local Microcenter has the MSI 1080 Seahawk EK X in stock and I can get it for $10 more than a Reference + EK Nickel/Acetal Block w/ Backplate. So if I don't have an order placed by the 30th for a Hydro Copper or at the very least significantly more information than we have now my choice has been made. I also see this as an opportunity to support other companies releasing cards with waterblocks.

Yes. They probably got tired of the comments such as above, and with the crying and complaining, they are now protesting against their consumers.
