I got me a question that customer service couldn't answer.......Is the GTX 460 SSC+ on the nvidia reference pcb? I want to water cool it with one of 2 blocks.....
(EK-FC460 GTX) from EK or the VID-NX460 from Koolance BUT they require the card to be the nvidia reference pcb. Can someone give me a hand here? According to Anandtech (http://www.anandtech.com/print/3810) the card IS the reference layout but on the 768mb model. Also on the "coolingconfigurator" website for EK says that it will fit the reference card, even shows an image of the 460 (non EE).....but it's not specific enough for me. http://www.coolingconfigu...terblock/3831109830161

    Or it would help us get a visual if someone can post a picture of the 01G-P3-1380-KR below the heat-sink so we can look at it for refrence.

    Has anyone verified if those waterblocks will work with the SSC+? I believe the picture below is of the SSC+. I would also like to watercool my SSC+ cards as well.

    If that's the SSC+ then it's not the reference design, but I don't think that pic is a SSC+ card.
     
    What you need to look at for a quick reference is the fan connector. It will be sideways and also between two of the capacitors.
     
    This is a picture of the EVGA 460 SSC+ from newegg's picture gallery of the card. Look at the fan header. The SSC+ is a reference design card and should work with those blocks.

    I wasn't sure if the image I snagged was the SSC+ or not but thanks for the info Kram.

    I just want 2x of its backplates but sadly they prob wont go on an EE

    I thought the EE was a reference card as well. Just not a reference cooler.

    The large picture shown above is of an Asian market GTX 460 PCB and is non-reference (check out the power phases). Also, the SSC+ should ship with the VRM heatsink included and is built upon a reference PCB.
