Haven't I seen you around for a while, lol. This isn't an EVGA promotion, it's Nvidia... Just like it says in the posts before yours. IF you bought your card from EVGA directly, and only if (because this is getting really frustrating to repeat every other post) go here: http://www.evga.com/artic...46/Metal-Gear-Solid-V/If you bought your card from anywhere else, ask the place you bought the card from.

If you would like to use an affiliate code to register a product, feel free use this one: >Click Here< This is not my affiliate code! This is a random users code. This code will change often, and you will never be told who it belongs to! If you would like the possibility of your code being listed above, it must be in your signature block. I will not take requests to use a specific code.

Seems like evga is releasing another 980 ti called the ftw with back plate that costs same as sc+ with back plate with the difference of having clocks same as the classified. Any explanation why this is the case?

Because there has always been a FTW between the sc or ssc and classified... It will be a custom pcb, just like always, and there is no other cost point it would fit.

Change in vrm probably, just like every other FTW. Look at the 980 chart and you can see that all reference 980's had 4+1 vrm, and 980 ftw had 6+2, not to mention dual bios, which the 980ti SC+ does not feature. The FTW is generally aimed at air overclockers looking for a little bit better vrm and bios support over reference boards while they maintain air cooling. This is the gap between the SC and Classified. This is where most people that don't use extreme cooling like to purchase, because (aside from the 980 FTW) the FTW is normally on part or close behind the Classified while on air.

If the HYBRID wasn't around, the FTW would be my card. The power (nearly) of the Classy without the heat, or in my case, bother of a custom block.

A lot of times, there is no waterblocks for the ftw... It is just such a niche market for them and waterblocks, which is unfortunate.
The hybrid is a legit thing though!

Because of that GTX980 FTW is worse combination, 980Ti FTW not exist I think... But for FTW you can't install Hybrid, you can't install water block for reference cards and you can't install water block for custom cards because only for Classified are available. Only Thermpshere as some half water cooling solution. If someone is not sure Hybrid or water block than best to choose reference and can install both later. Hybrid is excellent solution... But now when EKWB Predator show up who plan to replace and CPU cooler, graphic card and Predator it's same price for Hybrid or waterblock.

That's what I mean. I will never take the time for a custom waterblock, it's my preference. I LOVE the HYBRID, but if it didn't exist, I'd have the FTW on air. It has nearly the same clocks as the Classy without the heat of the extra power phases.

Yes they are very nice with white LEDs. Reference and ACX 2.0 models are very useful for people who want to change different option of aftermarket coolers. Because everything from Hybrid, ACX 2.0 and different waterblocks from several manufacturers fit perfectly.

Might be a dumb question but I'll go ahead and ask. All 980Ti products support Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. My question is: Does the 980Ti support Windows 8.1? I'm assuming yes; but I'd rather check before purchasing.

I just ordered the 980ti SC w/ACX 2.0. While nothing was positively displayed, I was under the impression that a free game was included. Am I mistaken? Not a big deal, since I probably already own them or, like FO4, already pre-ordered. Still, it would be nice to gift to someone. ( The free game, not my GPU!!)

There is an entire EK thread full of this information. The answer is: .5mm for the VRAM and 1mm for the VRM's. :-) trog69 I just ordered the 980ti SC w/ACX 2.0. Where did you order it from and what day exactly? If you purchased from EVGA.com, after 6 October, you will easily be to get the code on the promotion page. If you ordered from anywhere else, your code comes from them. EVGA will not be able to help if it is from another company, as this is an Nvidia promotion.
