hi,
i want ifo about the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked temperature during load and idle , i am about to buy it , but over clocking worries me about high temps and fan noise , i am big fan for reference cooler design , and the over clocked one looks grate in terms of performance at least 5% + fps over reference base clocked card.

i looked for temptetuers info in official EVGA product page and i cloud not find any info what so ever , any help ?

Honestly the temperature will be very similar to the various reviews that are up now on the reference version.

me personally I would wait a week or so until the acx ones are released(at present near me I use scan but there is no evga acx instock yet ) http://eu.evga.com/articles/00872/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-980-970/#2983   and see what they will be like they have the new acx 2.0  I am running 2 of the 780 sc acx and they worked a lot better than the normal 780 in the steel box looking thing  but a lot of cooling depends on case and your airflow  good airflow will help any pc (sorry not much help but I did notice on looking at upgrade myself and found the acx  ones )

I just got 2 of the evga oc gtx 980 and I run some benches and quick games ,the room temperature was 23C.
The cards run up to 1380 out of the box,I did not oc yet.
under heaven and some futuremark benches the cards run at average load 80 to 98% and the temperature was around 58c,
    Crysis 3  never passed 60C.
Those cards are awesome, very happy with them.

The default fan profile on all NVIDIA cards are optimized for silence out of the box, this makes the cards run hotter for sure, setting up a custom fan profile will help lower the temps. MSI Afterburner & EVGA Precision X provide the feature to setup custom fan profiles.

I got a pair in SLi and they are quieter then my pair of 670s and the temps don't really get crazy unless you are doing three or four monitors off one card running the heaven benchmark. I did that on a demo machine at tigerdirect, the thing went past 80c before I stopped it.

EDIT: Seems I was mistaken. I let heaven run a few times and it seems to hover around the 80c mark and still not any louder then any case fan or really even noticeable.
