The hydro cropper is not a classy with a water block slapped onto it. The hydro copper is basically a 980 superclocked with a water block and higher clock speeds.

Well today finally got my GTX 980 Hydro installed, in performance wise it's close to my GTX670 DC2T SLI that I had, I haven't OC the card yet just using it at stock for a week so it can get use to my system then we see, how lucky I'm with this GPU, the newest driver works like charm for me 347.25, a lot people have issues with the GPU% not going over 45 or 50% usage but mine went upto 90 95% while playing BF4. @ first a saw the same issue uninstall the driver and reinstalled it back, then afterwards ran the winsat formal in the CMD and everything is normal so far.

Yes I know, but the PCB is just like the 980 SC. It's not a Classified PCB.

This is to let the audience know that my HydroCopper is working as expected so far. Using driver ver. 347.25 with a ASUS PG278Q, G-sync enable and it runs @ 144Mhz while playing BF4 constant, verified with MSI Afterburner tool, this tool is very awesome I can monitor every detail in my computer as far as CPU and GPU. This card by it self auto boost to 1445Mhz without OC anything, my self just adding a +91 offset it gets to 1542 no OV or anything, just the offset value and it stays cool at 32C while playing BF4 at this Clockspeed, got lucky that I got from the EGG. I had (2) GTX670DC2Top and this card by it self it do a lot more than this two cards in SLI mode that I had them. Worth the money spend!

Nice looking Rig you have, you should build a MODS RIGS Build.

The clocks are higher on the HC Model than the ACX Model.

    @ RINTALA
Those are very nice OCs, My rig only have one card and it is the hydrocooper from EVGA, I haven't flash the Bios yet, with the stock bios I play BF4 @ 1534Mhz, Memory @7225Mhz with only 110% on Core Voltage, I use MSI Afterburner tool. My temp says in MSI 35C at that speed. I probably can hit 1650Mhz with the same ModBios that you have, did you got it from TM pc?. Nice rig by the way.

I put myself on the auto notify to get 3, is there a recommended WC bridge?  I used the EVGA 680 3xsli WC bridge on my current system and it saved me a huge hassle.  Thanks
EDIT - to be specific, one of these for the 980's...

All I know is this, it's time for me to buy me another HYDROCopper I have reach with mine the 1600Mz with its own BIOS from factory, Play BF4 for hors @ 1580Mhz and my FPS are close to be almost a 144fps solid line while playing with settings all (HIGH). I own an ASUS PG278Q and I use Afterburner and it shows an almost solid line while playing BF4 @ this clock speed, Nice video card I think I could said that I might have a GOLDEN gpu. I say this cause, there is around a BIOS mod that after flash you can reach the 1700Mhz and by doing that this Mod BIOS the only different from my card its that the Voltage go up to 1.275V and mine does 1.225 and with this I already reach the 1600Mhz using afterburner so and the GPU haven't crash yet, so I think I have a good GPU.

    * What your guys think, from those GTX 980 owners. Have anybody have got more than 1600Mhz from theirs 980 GPU with stock BIOS?

prolly gonna be hard since the DVI connector is on the second slot while the HDMI and DP ports are on the first slot.

and just gonna borrow the thread abit,

what sorts of clocks offset should be possible with these cards? or is even failure to OC them even beyond bare stock something that can be RMAed? because i seem to have problem to run stable at pushing the slider just barely to 30MHz offset. im running atm the driver 347.25 becuase when i used the latest 347.52 i couldn't even pass 20MHz before it chrashed the driver with 347.25 i could for some reason run 120MHz offset in 3DMark but playing a game like CSGO for around 25min into a MM game it chrashes the driver, so at the moment i basiclly just runs it in stock becuase i dont know what to do seems that up the voltage doesnt make a diffrence either with +0 or +87

Is there a way to convert the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Hydro to a single slot card?

prolly gonna be hard since the DVI connector is on the second slot while the HDMI and DP ports are on the first slot.

and just gonna borrow the thread abit,

what sorts of clocks offset should be possible with these cards? or is even failure to OC them even beyond bare stock something that can be RMAed? because i seem to have problem to run stable at pushing the slider just barely to 30MHz offset. im running atm the driver 347.25 becuase when i used the latest 347.52 i couldn't even pass 20MHz before it chrashed the driver with 347.25 i could for some reason run 120MHz offset in 3DMark but playing a game like CSGO for around 25min into a MM game it chrashes the driver, so at the moment i basiclly just runs it in stock becuase i dont know what to do seems that up the voltage doesnt make a diffrence either with +0 or +87

If you do it will void the warranty, that is cut it off like another user has shown us here on the Forum. http://forums.evga.com/Hey-EVGA-I-fixed-your-2-slot-problem-StopMaking2slotBrackets-m2267506.aspx

Thanks for the reply.  Using Dremel to cut the DVI connector on the second channel out is not precisely my idea to convert the two slot GTX980 Hydro to single-slot, but it appears that is the only way.
It is not that long ago that every motherboard had to have parallel printer port, keyboard port, mouse port, PS232,,,.. now all the ports are handled via USB ports.  In time the preconceive ideals change.
Keep thinking about the GPU cards in LSI configuration we have the card in slot 1 that needs connector to monitor, the cards in other slots need only the LSI edge connector. Now put that into you pipe and prouder on that.

My new 4K monitor does not have DVI port.

As hard as the GTX 980 HC Model is to get remember that you could kill your SLI Setup with one dead card.
What do you think you will gain by do this?

    Thanks for the comment.
I need FIVE PCIe 3.0 slots.  My Asrock X99 Extreme11 has 5 PCIe 3.0 slots in the following possible configurations 5 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slots (PCIE1/PCIE2/PCIE3/PCIE4/PCIE5: single at x16 (PCIE1); dual at x16 (PCIE1) / x16 (PCIE4); triple at x16 (PCIE1) / x16 (PCIE2) / x16 (PCIE4); quad at x16 (PCIE1) / x16 (PCIE2) / x16 (PCIE4) / x16 (PCIE5)).  If double slot GPU is placed in slot 2 no card can be placed in slot 3 and when double slot card is placed in slot 5 the motherboard ports below are blocked.   I want Quad LSI and one slot for other PCIe 3.0 function, i.e. will need all five PCIe 3.0 slots.  This leaves me only slots 1 and 4 that can have double slot GPU.
