So iam upgrading my GPU and wondering if the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW+ ACX 2.0+ suffers from coil whine?
 
I see alot of the older versions did but not sure if its fixed

    cant speak for the FTW+, but my SSC+'s have very minimal coil whine, usually only hear it when they are folding a core 15
    gaming and normal use dont have any noise

    Folding equipment - 3080 FTW3, 2070, 1660S, 1060 6G, 1050ti, 980 - All EVGA

    YES, the FTW+ DEFINITELY has coil whine, it was not fixed. I have already returned FOUR of the FTW+ models to Amazon due to the problem.
     
    I have since given up on this card and will be waiting for the 980ti and AMD's R9 300 series to be released so that prices on the 980 will hopefully go down to the mid $400 range so I can just get a 980 and not have to deal with this stupid coil whine problem.
     
    If coil whine is a problem to you, I would not bother with the 970 whatsoever.
