This card should sell very well since a lot of gamers just want a good card for 1080p gaming. With the 70% speed increase though it would probably be ok for 1440p gaming as well on older titles new games would probably not really play well.

I do not get it for the what I guess is lowest rank GTX 1650 XC Black GAMING, 04G-P4-1151-KR it states, Requirements - Minimum of a 300 Watt power supply.
- An available 6-pin PCIe power connector
- Total Power Draw : 75 Watts
Plus can see the 6-pin PCIe power connector in the photos? So what's what here ... does the the card require supplemental power or not? Edit: Just found. Power and Efficiency As a result, the GeForce GTX 1650 excels in modern games with complex shaders. Yet thanks to Turing’s efficiency, the GPU consumes less than 75 watts of power. It doesn’t even require an external power connector. So for those still running on older GPUs, this will be the easiest upgrade they will ever have to perform. Just plug and play.

Like the GTX 1050, it also doesn’t require an additional power connector in order to run, as it only needs a piddly 75W to get going. This means you can plug it straight into your motherboard without worrying whether you’ve got a beefy enough power supply for it, and it also keeps cable routing to a minimum.

The small power draw is half of what AMD requires at 150W. The 6-pin also makes it easy to throw into a pre-built system like a cheap HP or DELL computer without having to change out the power supply.

I don't see this card making much of a dent in anything at $150 and $180 for the higher end variants. An AMD RX570 can be had for the same price and often around the $130 mark and outright trounces this GTX 1650. In the low end market people want bang for the buck and are often not really concerned with brand loyalty.

I understand the power specs but those are two different AIBs. Obviously the article is wrong and maybe EVGA went their own separate route than the usual design like everyone else, who knows. I don't think they would have added it to their PCBs just for looks.

So the 1650 gets a backplate but not the 2060...

Doubtful. "Dead on arrival." (not in the sense of being faulty, but instead, completely unattractive) "Not competitive." "Impossible to recommend."In the same market space, a 3-year-old AMD card consistently performs significantly better at a significantly lower price.

Not sure why they bothered with a backplate. it seems like a weak card. 'Reminds me of go fast chrome' all show no power

So how far would I need to overclock this to match a stock 2080ti?
(Only partially joking, I genuinely wonder if it could be done with some serious modding and a ton of ln2)

Well looks like the reviewers are trashing the 1650.... Good as the RX 570 is a far better card. Not like that will stop idiots and fanboys from buying this as it has a nvidia logo on the side of the box.
