Okay, another question then: when and which card exactly did you order? I ordered a 1080 FTW from caseking, but didn't get any mail yet. i hope it stays that way..

I ordered SC version. 

Guys, Jacob confirmed next week and also the day so we have only to wait, if you do not have a preorder (made before the 1st of June) there is no way you can get the card until the end of July i think (for the FTW card)!!
 

we should consider us lucky if we get the card in September. 
anyway I'm done with EVGA. I'll go for ASUS or MSI . Asus and MSI are not shipping in Europe also the OC cards , however the lack of transparency with EVGA is pissing me off. 
I've got another reply for another retailer telling me that based on how things are evolving at this moment I should receive my EVGA FTW somewhere in September.

I still think the lack of transparency isn't eVGA, it's with NV...and I think it's a bad yield of the GPU's.

What I don't understand is why these cards are so short as far as stock and why the 980 TI or the 900 series cards when they came out they wasn't as short a stock as this card is that's what I want understand

980's where short stocked for a long time too, by the time the TI's came out there was plenty to go around.

how long were the 980 out of stock for until the TIs came?

Couldn't agree more. They are playing us around. I simply don't understand why won't nvidia/egva tell us what's going on. It seems as if they are selling a few cards at the time, and by a few I mean 5 or so. All you can find out there are FEs and it's clear they want to sell those out before fully release the other cards

It was a paper launch on nVidia's part. That's it. They don't need to inform anyone of anything and we're not owed anything. EVGA is doing all it can to get these cards out. I commend Jacob and company for even caring enough to post on these forums and twitter, which they don't have to do. You will get your card(s) eventually. That said, I too am not thrilled about this launch, I think it is BS. If you think the 1080 Ti launch or even the 1080 Hybrid launch will be any different you will be disappointed. There's always shortages and price gouging. It will likely take months to obtain a Hybrid after its release, just like the 980 Ti hybrid.

Man. Y'all realize every big card launch has stock issues right? Just be patient there is nothing special that EVGA can do. If you NEED a card right now go get it from another vendor.

In the end its just a piece of gaming hardware. Whether you get it now or in a few weeks doesn't matter!

BHPhoto CSR told me this morning, based on EVGA quantities expected next week, my 1080 FTW order will not be fulfilled.  I ordered on June 4, a few minutes after they re-opened for business on Saturday.  They do not have any timeframe due to lack of shipment and allocation information.  I mentioned the pre-orders started on Friday and continued throughout the weekend... can they tell me my place in line based on my order#?  I expected and got the "no" response.  They did mention they had over a 100 orders.  100? 200? 300?
 
Amazon's pre-order was hours...  BHPhoto's were days.  It took a couple shipments to fulfill EVGA pre-orders throughout the week.  Based on information about shipments in the US and non-US commitments, you do the math...
 
Almost snagged a MSI gaming X today, made the order confirmation email and CC pre-auth email from Chase, then BHPhoto gave the processing error email... insufficient stock..   It's the same for everyone...  

I ordered mine from B&H as well on 6/4 - I have inquired with them several times about an ETA and never get an answer... After leaving negative feedback on a survey, they followed up with this email

I am sorry about the delay with this order. I checked into this issue and we have been working diligently and persistently with the manufacturer to get a delivery date for this item. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has been heavily back ordered  and at each contact the delivery date has been moved. As of today, the expected delivery date is July 7th. Once this does arrive the orders will ship promptly.

It does matter for me, personally I'm not an enthusiast so price and value are a concern.
I preordered the FTW so I could get a good card for the price.  But now if it arrives in July it will be competing against the closed loop solutions and the cheaper reference versions that we now know are just as good as any bin.

Lol. You preordered a near $700 top tier GPU with RGB LEDs and you're gonna try to claim that you are not an enthusiast? If price and value were actually real concerns, you would not even be considering getting a 1080. You'd want a 1070, a 900 series card at a reduced price, or wait for 1060.
