Hey guys,
I've owned a GTX 1070 FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 for about 5 months now and it's recently stopped working. By stopped working I mean my PC just shut off and wouldn't turn back on. Through several hours of troubleshooting, I've determined that it is my GPU that is the problem. I tried plugging it in another PC and the PC would not boot at all until I unplugged the GPU and let the PSU discharge. I've tried different power supplies, reseating and swapping out RAM, clearing the BIOS, and in the end it became clear that the GPU was the issue.
I tried to register my GPU through the Product Registration process, however upon entering my Serial Number, the card is recognised on EVGA's website as a GTX 1060 SC. The part number on both the retail box and my GPU itself is 08G-P4-6276-KR which shows that it's a EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0. What do you suggest for me to do as far as RMA'ing goes? Do I proceed with the process and hope that they send the correct card out to me, or should I contact someone to correct the GTX 1060 error?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Leon
