I have a whitebox PC (Intel DH67CL Mobo, i5-2500 CPU @3.3Ghz) running Windows 7.  It runs flawlessly.  The mobo graphics adapter recently died so I installed an GeForce 210, installed the latest (10/18/16) drivers, and disabled the on-board video in the BioS.  Everything works great!   Except - when I try to run the popular WIN95 game Atomic Bomberman, I get a black screen, and the only remedy is to power it off and power it on (reboot button isn't sufficient). This game ran fine using the Mobo video adapter, and runs fine on 3 other WIN7 PCs we have in the house.  One even has an older EVGA/nVidia card (Svideo/DVI).

I doubt anyone has the answer, but this is a bear to debug because I don't want to keep power-cycling the PC, if anyone has suggestions as to root cause (or how to avoid the black screen) it would be much appreciated.   The game doesn't run in compatibility more but I do use 256 colors and 640x480 resolution.

Thanks!
/j

    jeffw_00,

    Welcome to the forums.

As to your concern, what worries me most is the fact that you had the "mobo graphics adapter" die.  The thing is, that motherboard doesnt have a graphics adapter.  Its in the CPU and the motherboard is a conduit for the integrated graphics to connect through.  The actual graphics chip is in the CPU.

That being said, a few questions:
What have you tried so far?
What brought you to the conclusion that your integrated graphics had died?
Are you having issues with any other games or programs on this computer?

    Sure.
    Well, the HDMI port stopped producing video - that was a pretty strong clue.  Otherwise the machine runs great, no other issues with any other games or programs.  EVGA support sent me to a list that showed that all their currently-selling cards no longer support WIN95, so the solution appears (sigh) to be to plug in an older (non-HDMI) card when playing this particular game :-{

"WIN95 game Atomic Bomberman" (1997 Going on 20 Years) Use an Older Driver.
    Use a different Video Cable.
Is your Windows 7 the 32Bit Version Per Intel this Motherboard does not support 64Bit OS.
OS support is up to Windows 98 Standard Edition (SE) so you are lucking that you even got Windows 7 Installed and Working.

Thanks for all the good ideas

I've been running 64b OS on it for 2 years - maybe you looked up wrong # (or i gave wrong # - can check later)

older driver is a good idea - how far back would you go?

also -using DVI rather than HDMI is also a good idea.

Still - nVIDIA support said this card won't support WIN95 graphics, so...

That is why I said you are Lucky.
Had you installed the 32Bit OS you would or might be ok, This week I am building a Windows 7 32Bit computer to support older games.
And other older tools that do not run well or at all under a 64Bit OS
