The hybrid is NOT meant to work with the ACX cooler. It is meant for the Reference Cooler only, as the vrm section still needs the blower fan.

are you sure? cause according to what I am reading, I remove my current ACX fan cooler, the hybrid comes with a shroud to replace what I have now and install cooler in that.

What Scarlet Tech said is correct.  The Hybrid cooler only works with the reference blower cooler.  The Hybrid kit does not come with a fan to cool the vrm, check the pictures.

The shroud is only a shroud, it does not have its own fan.

EVGA GTX980Ti ACX 2.0 and ACX 2.0 SC are reference PCB compatible with all 980Ti reference waterblocks and TITAN X waterblocks.
Only it's not compatible with Hybrid because if no little fan/turbine to cool down VRM. On reference model you remove heatsink from chip and replace with Hybrid pump and fan stay on place to cooldown VRM. Shroud is visual, for protection from dust and to keep hot air from VRM to go out of case not in case, without him that will look similar as CORSAIR HG10.

reason I am asking cause I bought a new tv. it is a 65" Vizio M 4K tv. and it is awesome, had for about a month now. I have my 980 ti hooked up to this and gaming is awesome. Witcher 3, Batman Arkham, Star Wars the Old Republic, Titanfall and yes, even Warcraft lol. I cant wait for Star Wars Battlefront.
however, man does the fans on the card make a bunch of noise when I kick in a game, not so much when I am web browsing. but I can still hear it working and since it is now my dedicated pc for my living room, I want it to be quiet so I can watch Netflix and whatever so I don't have to hear the fans working overtime lol.

thanx to all who replied, I really appreciate it.............
