Hey everyone, Im in the process of building my first desktop and the last piece I have left is the graphics card. I want to go ahead and get a gtx 970 but there are so many different ones to choose from.. can anyone help me out in telling me the main difference between the cards? Like for example, the 970 FTW versus the 970 SSC? Because Im probably going to purchase one of those two, I just don't know what "FTW" and "SSC" stands for and I want to purchase the right card. Obviously the base and the boost clock are higher on the FTW.. is that the only difference between the two?

The FTW has a much better cooler/heat sink on it so I would hold out for that one if I were you. Besides higher clocks, that is the main difference between the two. One review site said it was suppose to have an extra VRM added for better OC but the PCB (edit: not PCP) looked to have the same number or VRMs as the rest of the 970s so idk...

Oh, and FTW stands for "For The Win" and SSC stands for "Super Super clocked?". You could probably just add a different "S" word and it would work haha.
