Very nice. Will the FTW+ be a step-up option like the new SSC?

That is great news Jacob. Thank you very much.

P.S. The step-up option for Europe has a small delay compared to US, so it is still not available. But I believe it will be up the next few days.

A lot of what I'm seeing advertised for the FTW+ is the same thing the FTW has except the backplate. What is actually different between the FTW and FTW+? If it's just the backplate then it isn't worth doing a step-up as that would be more expensive than just buying a backplate.

just stepped up in pending queue. Also asked about my EAR and at first they told me it was not transferable but after i asked for  a manager they came back with the correct answer that it will be transferred to the new FTW+ automatically.

Go to your products page, view details and check the accept to check your costs associated.
If you paid retail for your current card (FTW) and stepped up to the (FTW+) difference is $10, plus shipping FROM EVGA, you have to ship your card to them for what ever its costs you.....

Basically YES it will cost you to step up to the FTW+

If the FTW+ is literally just a FTW with a backplate, can we get some promotion for free backplate for anyone with a GTX 970 FTW? or just charge $10 for owners.

To many enhancements to say no. IMO this is a "fixed" version of the original FTW with the correct power support. I was getting around 1430 boost max and can tell the card could go higher but it hit its TPD which is why they added the addition power. Plus runs cooler then original FTW. Do it! lol

Thank you for clearing that up for me. Also a big thanks to your whole team for allowing us to step "sideways" Many of us knew the card had a TDP issue from the launch and EVGA stepped up and made it right!
