Hello, I'm in need of some help, I have contacted support and explained my problem, first I had RMA'ed my card, when I got the replacement card the temps where very high in the mid-high 80's. I had friend that give me a water block .... and swore up and down it would fit my card... well it didn't. The main problem I have ATM... is when replacing the ACX cooler back onto the card one of the stand offs somehow got striped (that hold ACX to PCB with 4 screws with springs) ... so how I can not fully get ACX cooler back on the card.... I call and ask if there anyways I could get a stand off send out too me. Yes I know it was my fault and I'm not 100% sure how it got striped but none the less it is...  The card works still but I can not use it for anything that will put any kind of load on it or it will jump in 90c range - I'm sure this due the fact it's missing one screw that hold the cooler to chip.  I call Wednesday and was told someone would get back to me or a shipping number would be email to me if they could send me the stand off .... Yes the stand off will can be taking off and put back on, I know this for a fact.

I called again to day and still I was told there checking on this. at this point the card it useless for playing game due to it will get way to hot. (again my fault) I'm just trying to get some kind of update as to if I need send the card in to be fixed. I'm pretty sure it just needed the TIM replaced. As you can see from photo of TIM wasn't very well done. I don't want be pain in ass but at the same time I don't want wait for weeks just find out, I have to send the card in for repairs either and wait for weeks for card to come back from being repaired... any kind of update would be great. Again sorry to seem pushy but out the 8 months I've build the system, I had to RMA the CPU, System board, PSU two times, GPU... I have yet to really enjoy my system. Thanks Michael.

as far as I understand you can still use the card with watercooling, right?
what temperatures are acceptable for you, what do you expect from your card under load?

I have the same card but the 4GB version, it also gets over 80C while gaming.
so I would like it to be less but especially during the summer time that's not very likely.

Thanks, GabrieIT -- I am assuming max temp for this card is at 90c?  unload 87c-90c it a little high, and my first card never seen over 70c  Yes it summer but our house is always around 70f .. yes I could use it WC'ed if I had a full cover block that would fit it... so far I can't find one. That I would trust to use. If I had I wouldn't be here trying to get a replace standoff.

When you say the waterblock did not fix the problem, what temps were you getting with it? It's hard to believe a watercooled GPU, even during a hot summer day while gaming outside, would not give you considerable less temps compared to the stock cooler. Did you have a complete custom loop set up in your rig? What TIM did you use after each installation?

Sorry  I edited my post the WB didn't FIT the card, and I'm very picky as to what blocks I would use (full cover) would be ideal but there only one that I know of.... and I don't like the style of it.... as far TIM I replaced it with Gelid GC-Supreme I also have EVGA backplate coming for it... that should help with temps some.

Ahh, got ya   I'm not sure on the exact specs of the screws used on the GPU's, but they can easily be replaced by the ones you can get at a local hardware store. Maybe someone can chime in on the exact screw you could buy. If all else fails, you could just take an original screw with you and match it to the ones there for sale.

Also, what TIM are you using to replace the stock TIM that came with the GPU?

It's not the screw that messed up as that would have been ez fix, it's the stand off that it screws goes into that got striped, the screw is fine... and will go into the any other of the standoffs with out any problems.

    Dear msc-services,

I am very sorry for any delays on your request for replacement stand-offs. I can confirm that these are not something that normally need to be replaced and in order to assist we had to locate a fan that we could dismantle to try and support you further. Due to this it did take a few extra days to process your request, but as of yesterday your shipment was packaged up and is pending USPS to stop by in order to ship it to you.

I have emailed the USPS tracking information to assist further.
