Today I bought my new EVGA GTX 750 Ti (base model, not factory overclocked). I installed it in my computer and from the moment I press the power button the card's fan spins up and make extremely loud noise. GPU-Z is reporting 40% fan speed. How to reduce my card's idle fan speed? Any help will be much appreciated:)

It would be much easier if you told us the model number of the card.

If it is the -2751 or -3751 models, no, I do not believe that you have much control over the fan speed.

I have the exact same problem and card as you! However I have the SC model. What I did was ask EVGA for a bios to flash onto my GPU. This reduced the noise of my GPU Fan by a couple percentage. But it lowered the fan speed so it would get stuck and make noises as though it wasnt receiving enough electrical current to overcome the friction of the axle of the fan. So i just use MSI afterburner to set a custom fan range. It only works if you have MSI afterburner running which, sucks.

I got the same card and got the same problem. MSI doesn't work tho cuz apparently this card doesnt have the fan controlling chip(?).

Correct. It only has a 2-wire fan instead of a 4-wire fan which is needed fo fan feedback and control.
