My GTX580 already came with the highflow bracket, is that a standard for the GTX580-SC?
Im wondering if its really worth getting the backplate aside from aesthetics purposes?

I just ordered a second vanilla 580 and I am going to order some backplates and highflows, but you are saying newer 580s are shipping with a highflow on them, or is that just the SC?

I received my GTX 580's today and to my surprise they already had high flow brackets installed! I had already ordered two brackets and two backplates that will be here on Friday, so I'll have some extra for the third card when I order it in a few weeks, unless it comes with a bracket installed too.

Heh, I won't be unhappy. I'll just send it to someone in the marketplace if they pay shipping. I used $18 EVGA bucks for the backplate so the bracket was out of pocket. All in all, no complaints.

Thanks! I don't have any benchies yet, will run them soon. I was too excited to see what I had been missing out on with DX11. I was greeted with BF:BC2 and AvP both crashing before I could even enter a game.  I'm not sure if it was DX11 or the 2D Surround that was causing it, or both. A little disappointed with that. Crysis Warhead in Surround was a breeze though!

BF:BC2 for me started to work, when installing 580´s drivers without HD audio drivers.
Will definitely try without those drivers tonight, thank you!
No problem. Its been very common failure. Make sure you uninstall first everything, then starting with safe mode and deleting all nvidia folders that still excist. And then custom installation without HD Audio. And make sure that your Windows dont do automatic driver installation.

I'd love to provide some 3dMark results (as well as other DX11 games), but I'm getting tons of driver crashes. I've tried 6 sets of drivers and, short of completely reformatting, I am having no luck. FIY, I've already disabled the HD Audio and gone through the steps that have been posted on this forum to try and alleviate the issue. Also, is anyone else's Endless City Demo really, really blurry/pixellated? OT: my backplates arrive today!!! Had to write a love  note to UPS for them to deliver to my community's front office since I won't be home when they arrive.

Had to have been very recent. I also ordered a 580 about a month ago and it didn't have a high flow, but I just got another from Newegg today and it came with one. I also ordered 2 highflows from EVGA, now I have to send one back.
