Hey man I just realized - I think you have these installed wrong! You can see the side of the PCB (tan colored) which isn't supposed to be! It looks like the plate is not wrapped around the edge of the card. This is not good because its going to be flexing the card in such a way that it could damage the plate or the card!
That plate does look crooked.

My 3rd 580SC is sitting at home in my Office just waiting for me to get home on the 5th.....so is my high flow bracket and backplate.....ordered all 3 of each when they made the scene......hey Europe guys buck up on the shipping...even here in Canada...although only 2.5 hrs from Brea Cal on a plane its still $30 Int shipping ;)

Shipping to England was 15 euro too, i was gonna wait till the high flow bracket was in stock also to get both in same package to save on shipping but i pressed "pay" by mistake 
Ive emailed them to ask if they can add the backplate in the package with my pre-ordered GTX 580SC. I agree 15 euro is alot :P They must be sending a concorde over to the UK with just my stuff in it, followed by a Ferrari at the airport to deliver it to my address to be charging that price. Never mind next-day delivery, this must be, delivery within 5 hours or something xD

I know the 580 backplate fits the 570 but I want one that says 570 on it. Hope they come out soon.

Just received both today. To me it makes the EVGA GTX 580 Black - Op look more cooler. :D With the High Flow Bracket I notice a 3 to 4 Deg lower difference in ideal and 4 to 6 Deg lower difference with benchmark with Heaven.

I just received my 580 yesterday from the Step up program. I have a 480 backplate, will this fit the 580? I also have a rear high flow, but it looks like the standard 580 already has them or am I wrong?

The backplate won't fit, the 580 one has more holes which probably have some function too.

I bought and installed two of those backplates. They look really great.
The way they cover the pcb from the side and the fact that they let you install/uninstall the high flow bracket without having to remove first the backplate are very nice improvements in EVGA's backplates.

In the backplate installation instruction manual it states "Install all 12 screws that were removed".
My backplates didn't come with any additional screws as there are not needed. Maybe they decided to send some additional incase some get stripped or a mistake while packing the backplates.
