First i have to be sorry cause this time i buyed my GTX570 Graphiks not from EVGA .
I buyd one from POV but it was a good price from a good shop and i cant wait any longer .
now my question : its posible in Germany to buyed an backplatte for the GTX 570 from EVGA and where i have to order it .
My next Card will shure be an EVGA again but my pov its an nice Vanilla to .
It runs at stock voltage 0.975 and goes without Overclocking up to 800/1600/1980 and more is possible with more voltage .
The press makes the 470 much more bad than she is and so i buyd an 5850 Toxic but the best 5850 is nothing for an Nvidia user . This is what i learn now and never will forget .
AMD is not the way i like to play .
The GTX 480 and the 50 watts @ windows shocked me but the 570 ist the best buy i ever made and for an german 315 € for an releas buy it was a great price .

Next time, get your engineers to make the holes a little wider in diameter to fit larger head screws and a few more mounting holes on the backplate.   Most aftermarket waterblocks are using larger than T6 screws.

As a bit of an engineer myself, I can tell you why the clearances are the way they are - alignment.
 
I thought the same thing - I was putting it together per the instructions and put the 4 heatsink screws in loosely tight, then put the other smaller torx screws in and was like wow these are really binding up against the brass inserts.  I thought it was a manufacturing defect or tolerance issue... then I realized.  Because there's capacitors and transistors and resistors on the backside that they are clearing with this backplate with relatively tight tolerance, they can't afford to have "slack" in the mounting screws else the whole plate could shift a few thousandths of an inch, which may seem trivial but if you look at the squared machined holes that are surrounding components, event a slight shift left right up or down could result in a short.  The shoulder of the screw heads is dead on with the ID of the brass inserts for alignment purposes - without this the fit would be more "flexible" in terms of application, but would open up the potential for issues and interference with components.  I actually dreaded, initially, lining this item up on the board once I saw the through-holes they machined for components but once I put it on I realized its only going to fit once all the small torx screws were perfect... which meant no interference so, personally, rather than frown on the engineering not taking into account other fasteners, I praise EVGA for making a product that will never have alignment issues.

If you think about it the 580 backplates should work on the 570 because they use the same PCB.

Hey man I just realized - I think you have these installed wrong!  You can see the side of the PCB (tan colored) which isn't supposed to be!  It looks like the plate is not wrapped around the edge of the card.  This is not good because its going to be flexing the card in such a way that it could damage the plate or the card!

Any idea if this fits with the Danger Den GTX580 block?
