Hoping someone might help. I just received this card today. I had previously been running 2 EVGA 970 GTX's in SLI, everything working like a charm. I removed all the drivers using DDU, shutdown, uninstalled my old cards, installed the new GTX 1080 FTW card, hooked up both 8 pin connectors to each of the 8 pin PCE-E connectors on my power supply. At start-up I was greeted with this message "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". The funny thing is that none of my boot devices are even listed in my BIOS. The card is lit up, but absolutely nothing as far as getting the system to boot into windows. Maybe a bad card? I've uninstalled it and reinstalled one of my EVGA 970 cards, boom, everything works fine. I have a Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard, AMD FX8150 processor, an Acer XB280HK UHD monitor. I see the monitor uses a 1.2 display port, the new card is 1.4. Does that make a difference? Any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated. Was hoping to enjoy my new card, unfortunately not so. Running Windows 10 64bit

Welcome to the Forum Larebo Did you also update your MB Bios and also Reset the MB Bios to the Default or Optimized Settings after you installed the new Card?

I did update my BIOS a couple of days ago with no issues. I did try the optimized defaults in the BIOS menu to no avail. None of my boot devices are listed, absolutely nothing, so am somewhat frustrated trying to figure out what's going on. I have one of my old cards in now with no issues. Just can't seem to boot into windows.

OK After you have Reset the Bios you will need to re-set it up, that is you will need to set how you want the Bios Settings Set as well what Boot Device you want to Boot from. Or are you saying that you no longer can get into the Bios with your New Card Installed?

I'm willing to try anything at this point. I will try reinstalling the card again, reset the BIOS and re-set it up again and see what happens. I may not answer right away as all this installing and removing and reinstalling is quite a pain...lol! My computer area is a disaster at the moment. I will try all this again, and repost within the hour. Thanks for offering to help!!

That or something else was knocked loose then back in. Important thing is that it's good.
