New PSU case is very nice, and now is 159$ 1000W. Before 3-4 years you couldn't find good 1000W under 280-300$. That's one more reason to people who still keep some old craps with expensive configuration upgrade on something better. Some people will like black ribbon cables.

I don't see the point spending $120 on GQ 750W when you can find full modular on sale for less all the time. EVGA own G2 750w on sale at newegg for $90 after rebate. Would be nice to see evga send product sample to [H]OCP. Mix up the review sites they use.

These type of PSU's are my favorite designs. Ive always said that the 24 pin connector should be the only soldered line on every psu because its the basis for the whole pc, everyone has to use it and a fully soldered line is much more reliable than modular connectors that can fall apart in a multitude of different ways and jeopardize components. I know they are a bit harder to work with but I think it pays off in the end years down the line, especially if your the type to constantly be upgrading. Good job EVGA and grats on your Jonnyguru score. \m/

I would tend to agree wmmills, but only if that cable was NOT anything like the one that came with my 850 G2, those cables are thick and unwieldy. So much so that I spent the money on Cablemod replacement cables for it. I would not be happy if the 24pin was not replaceable and big and bulky. I am curious about the ribbon cabling for the other cables, is it any better than the sleeved ones that came with my G2? JonnyGuru.com mentioned them, but literally said 0 about their quality/flexibility.

I am a huge fan of Super Flower made PSU's, and GQ are made by FSP..... so I will stick with the SuperNova P2 series in my builds.
