Hello, so I'm having an issue. I purchased this graphics card and figured I'd have the proper cords to connect it to the power supply. The power supply has the slots available but I do not have the proper connector. The graphics card came with the Y styled connector. I need to know what other connectors can be used. I'm just learning the inners of pc's but have a few cables left that came with my power supply but no more 8 pins which I believe it needed.

You need One 8-Pin PCIe Power Cable. Your Cables should be Marked PCI or PCIe your PSU should say PCI-E or VGA.
PCI-E Connector 2 Each in the upper right of your PSU marked 6+2 PCI-E
They will only fit the connector pattern so you cannot plugged them into the wrong one.

Thanks, I'm actually curious maybe you can help me further. I've got two 6+2 connectors if I connect the 6 to the adapter they seem to fit with the 2 connectors just off floating on each one.

The adapter is a Y with the v being 6 on each side.

If you have a 6+2 cable/connector from the PSU, you don't need the Y adapter. Just plug the 6+2 connector directly into your card's 8-pin power connector.

DeathAngel74 is correct, since your card requires a single 8-pin power connector, you can use the 6+2 connection directly from your power supply, without the need for any of the adapters.

Ok cool, that worked now I'm having problems with monitors. The monitor that's connected to the graphics card is the one that works the other doesn't get detected. But when the Graphics card isn't in both monitors get detected normally. I need to use both monitors.

I've tried the control panel for Nvidia but its not even detecting the monitor

    Hello,

If you have the other monitor connected to any onboard graphics, you will need to disconnect that and connect both monitors directly to the card, as onboard and dedicated graphics will usually not function together. Once you connect both displays to the card, they should function normally.
