The problem with most folks monitors is they aren't calibrated.  My monitor is.  Factories set their brightness up to full... However, even with a calibrated monitor (NEC IPS Panel) it's a bit bright still.  I think it's all the white space.

My monitor is calibrated as well using a Spyder3 calibrator.  And I agree, the forum is a bit too bright.  Multiple times I have suggested using off-white (#EEEEEE) instead of white (#FFFFFF) or increasing the width of the black margins on each side so that the screen isn't so blinding.  It hurts my eyes after a while.

for me these whites are the complete opposite of the grey original ,from squinting to eye strain from over powering whites, the entire center is one block of white at least the name posts etc section should be clearly divided from the posts  and break the block up a bit .Sadly i would rather use the original forum theme over either of the new ones :(

I personally don't have an issue with the white. I agree, it is a little on the bright side though.
Can we at least get one more skin that is darker, that uses black text.

I don't think EVGA is listening to us any more.  Everyone is saying the same thing over and over again and it is such an easy change for them to make if they were willing to change it.

Darker on the left, lighter (un-changed) on the right.  Why not EVGA?

I think black would look really nice on some old style parchment color that could have some mild texture to it.

Kind of like Oblivion  :)
