Hello to everyone,
I wonder if the EVGA E762 (X58 Classified 4-way sli) could support Xeon cpu X56xx series.
I can't find a cpu support list anywhere.
Regards,

Note mod would void your warranty, EVGA may be ableto do it for you , I would contact EVGA 888-881-EVGA 3842, or PM _ShannonR

May want to look at http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=659934&high=CPU+modification

Thanks a lot for your kind answer.
The only problem about contacting EVGA is that i'm living in Europe, not in the USA.
Instead i think that an easy solution may be to use a L100 conducting silver to short the two empty pads without loosing the warranty.
I previously used this method to mod an Intel D975X Bad Axe and worked fine.

Hey guys I`m sorry for posting at this old theme, but I was wondering if someone can tell me what was the mod for E762 to support X56xx CPUs, I know the mod was also fixing the issue with i7 970 turbo not working I`m using 970 CPU now and can't run 25x multi cause I have E762 the first revision. I know it's posted in the second post but the pics are expired there and I can see nothing.

I posted in remenaker's thread, but contact EVGA support directly, as they may be able to assist you further.  Techs don't always come into these threads, and so the best way to make sure you're taken care of is to contact EVGA directly via phone or email.
