Ok, was going to wait till this Spring to waterblock my 780Ti classies, but got tired of waiting for the snow to melt!

I went with EK waterblocks, but stuck with the EVGA 780Ti Classy backplates and thought I'd share how it all came together.

These are the screws I used - ordered them from Mr. Metric.   They worked perfectly to secure the EVGA 780ti Classified backplate to the EK waterblock and look great.  I installed the EK block per instructions, but note that I used the M3x8 screws to actually secure the EVGA backplate to the EK block.  The M3x6 screws are strictly for cosmetics - I used them to plug the EVGA backplate holes that don't go anywhere, i.e. the ones with no matching screw holes going into the EK block.  (Tip:  Use a small BB sized ball of poster mounting putty in the EVGA backplate holes that don't go anywhere - this will help secure the screws in place and keep them from falling out or rattling around.  Strictly cosmetic, but looks a lot better than leaving empty holes unplugged in the EVGA backplate.)

Here are some more pics:

I'm really happy with how it all turned out.  The EK blocks and the EK terminal are great!  The GPU's are nice and cool now... idle at 19C and only hit 35C under full load.

Looks great! With the six philip screws, are those the supplied screws with washers? Mine is setup just like yours but I'm using M3x6 to secure the plate to the block.

Put extra thermal pad 1mm on the backside vrm. Use the left over pads from your ek block, I think the #2 vrm (where they had you cut the pad in half) I don't know if it does help in cooling, but if you look at the ek classy backplate, they did the same thing. I rather use our evga backplate but with the added vrm cooling!

I'm so happy, EK should launch new Universal GPU Block...Look...
    EK-Thermosphere

Black version will fit fantastic with CPU Block I choose... and I can keep red baseplate and original backplate.
This is just I need. To save money little, I will hard sell full cover 780 Classy block for 2 years.
My project start in June and I will make pictures of everything. My first loop...
OK I'm biginer and I will after 2-3 months change color of tubes and shape of loop but never mind.

Sorry for the delayed response - I haven't been on the boards for a bit!  (Work and family and all)

Like I said in my previous post, I used M3x8 screws to secure the EVGA backplate to the EK block and M3x6 screws are strictly for cosmetics on the backplate screw locations that didn't go anywhere (held in place with a bead of poster mounting putty in the hole before pushing them in.)

I didn't use ANY of the screws that came with the EVGA backplate - I simpy ordered and used the Mr. Metric screws I show in the first picture.

    Cheers!

The EVGA backplate already has a resistive film covering its underside, so no worry or need to mess with washers (at least I didn't and everything turned out fine.)   The EK waterblock uses washers though and I believe the EK backplate does as well, but the EVGA backplate doesn't seem to need them.  Yes the screws you link should work... but those huge end caps they have are going to stick out like a sore thumb... way above the surface of the backplate itself by a good margin.  I'd advise against those home depot bolts unless you don't care about cosmetics.  The ones I show in my first pick from Mr. Metric work great.  They aren't all that expensive and you can see just how flush they are in the 4th pic I posted. Cheers!

I found nice M3 screws in Europe, from MDPC. People tell me they are compatible if someone want to keep EVGA Backplate.
You see Black Oxide, top class, it's very hard to find such screw, these can easy go on satellite.

Only is problem because I need to order x50 but maybe will be useful for something else, motherboard or fans with black washers from MDPC-X.
