So, every once in a while when I boot my X58 computer, the Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Root Hub failed to start according to the Device Manager.  Disabling and re-enabling the device brings it back up just fine, but anyone have any ideas why I even have to do this?  I do have a 4-port USB 3.0 card that uses the same drivers, but I have been using that for a while before this issue started.

Thanks!

Do you have any external USB hubs installed? If not then the first thing you should try is to reload all of the chipset drivers. I recommend no overclocking when reloading the drivers.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Ok, so what would be the best way of doing that?

Go to the EVGA downloads section.

    http://www.evga.com/support/download/

Find your motherboard and then look for the chipset driver. Download and install this. Restart the PC after the install.

Once done look in the device manager and see if anything has a yellow exclamation mark or anything that says unknown device

Well, so far, so good.  It didn't happen every time I turned the computer on, so if it doesn't happen for a week I will call it a success.

Sad I am, because it didn't work.  I did get through a few reboots before it started doing it again.  I have to go into the Device Manager, find the yellow 3.0 Root Hub that says it failed to start, disable it, re-enable it, and it comes back up.  Something is messing with the driver on boot up, but I have no clue what it could be.  The PCI-e USB 3.0 expansion card that I have never has this kind of issue.
