I'm one of the small folders till I can finish my dual SR2 system that is about 75%complete however RL has reared it's consistently troubling head and have no idea when I will be able complete the powerhouse. Till then doing what I can with 2ps3s folding nearly constantly. Well just figured I would put in a word as one of the slow but behind the cause folders. In addition I have managed and built several forums before and would offer that up as an idea to the troubles with tracking members create our own EVGATeam forum for that purpose alone. If you would like I would be willing to set one up for us.

Hello fellow EVGA Folders! I've only been folding since April of 2012 and I have a question. If i over-clock my GPU's and CPU does that allow me to fold faster, thereby earn more points? I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question!

Welcome, and yes, you will get more points per day with overclocked hardware - just make sure it's a stable overclock so you don't fail work units and end up with a lower score. Ask in the "folding help and guides" section if you have specific questions. drougnor, looks like you have some catching up to do in the signups - I see 38 more entrants that need processing...

Quick observation: We've increased team output 5 days in a row!! Don't forget, we're doing this at a where team production should be dropping as bucks folders leave the system! Lets make it 6!

Now if EVGA would only send out that email, which would reach people that are not already part of the folding team, we could really do some damage!

I'm attempting to navigate the line between making sure its something that has their attention while not being an annoyance/burden to them as they are also busy with other responsibilities (as I'm sure are most of the rest of us). The latest reply from Rob at the end of this past week: Rob I should know today. Shane bugged Joe about it and he said to remind him today. Please be ready as I have a feeling it will happen rather quickly once we get the final go ahead!

Got an E-mail from Punchy and just signed up on the "Great (H) Challenge" page. Thanks Punchy! Just fired up a couple of clients after a long and badly needed summer break from folding. Was pushing quit hard my first year of folding. I'll slowly increase clients as the weather gets colder (heats my house). Anyway, good to be back and contributing again. Fold On Everyone!

My folding is limited to 3-4hours/day and usually when I'm not working because the GPU Fold kills my cad+map process and I have to shut it down in order to work properly. Other than that thank you and hope to add my contribution to this challenge and why not future challenges.

Hi Folks! Ok so you pulled me out of lurking on the forums with the need to stop this challenge by [H]. I am sure glad Punchy PM'ed me about it. Just wanted to let you all know that I built this rig primarily for folding because of having first hand experience with some of the diseases being studied. It's been folding pretty much 24/7 since I power it on (ok ok I have to spend some time gaming on it, it does have a GTX 680 in it) so it's doing all that it can (about 45K - 55K PPD). I wish I had the extra donuts for a second GTX 680. While thinking about what else I could do I started spamming all my friends to start folding and offering to help them get setup etc. Hopefully I can turn up some new folders.
Rig: Squishy 3770K @ 4.5GHz, P8Z77-V Deluxe EVGA GTX 680SC+ with Hydro Copper water block XSPC RX360 water cooling kit Cooler Master HAF X, Antec 1000W

JavaGuy, I'm glad to see we finally brought you out of hiding! It's great that you are doing some extra recruiting, because that's where our greatest growth potential is. Tanner, an extra 4p is great to see too! Oh, and the chat box is alive again! I forgot to renew it in August. You can get to it from the [H] Challenge pages (link in the first post of this thread). Feel free to post "for sale", "wanted" and "free to folders" items there, since we got shot down yet again in this forum.

I just ordered 2 gtx 470's really good price on them in B stock. My hope is to up my PPD by 40 k or so. Just not going to be liking my power bill . I will move the 260's over to my old rig so the 470's can run 24/7 along with the 260's . I am starting to think I need to start on a 4p at some point .

My (2) 470s only added ~175W of wattage when Folding to the total system watts, so that's ~87W each. All in all a great pair of GPUs even if they aren't as wattage-slim as some newer cards. They are definitely wonderful "space heaters", so your room will be nice and warm this winter! They are also still respectable gaming platforms in SLI.

No way. I think your power meter is wrong. My GTX470 usually pulls upwards of 150Watts when folding. Its a real heat producer when folding.

Nope, my wattage meter works perfectly... It's my brain that's on the fritz tonight. Yes, re-checked my records and that should have been 175w per GTX470. Think I'm gonna have to head to bed early tonight.

I cranked my folding efforts back up after Punchy's pm. Just a 670 FTW and 4 cores on a 3.87 I7. Finally figured out how to add in a GTX 8800 I had sitting around. That added almost 5K PPD. Not a lot but it can't hurt. As an added plus I can now use my PC to heat up frozen dinners. I hate to think how much heat a 4P setup must produce.
