wish I could have got it free to replace the totally non matching stock shroud :o(
 
still might try painting the stock one and selling the new one if it turns out ok.
 
If I do replace the stock one with the "new" one, it doesn't void the warranty or anything, right??

I doubt that will void the warranty, as long as you did not damage the original shroud.
 
They did a Face-off program (you still need to pay postage) before to give out free shrouds..
 
I think they're of limited amount and currently out of stock and pretty much cost a fortune on eBay..

yeah, I tried to contact them to see about the free face off thing, but they said I was too late. Kinda sux since I think 99.9% like the "new" one better..

I was lucky enough to get one at the time, and it was definitely a better design compared to that of the current one.
 
However, that said, i would love to see a more rigid design of the shroud, the new design is still a bit plasticy...
 
Maybe look out for one in eBay?

Replacing the shroud does not void warranty, only if you physically damage something during the swap.
