Today my GTX 980 TI Decided to burn itself out and every time I attempt to turn my PC on it will instantly cut itself out to prevent the system from starting, is there anything that I can do to fix my graphics card, this happened when I was playing Rust on my system and the moment I smelt burning from my PC it instantly turned off, the card wasn't even overclocked.

Here is a image of my PCB

Is there anything I can myself? I am sure that my card is still under warranty.

Yep, you can fix that by sending it in for warranty. Sorry to hear this happened and hopefully the turn around is quick.

Hello, I have made a submission for trouble shooting so I can open a RAM, and no I did not install a water block on the card, I was using the default ACX 2.0 cooler at the time it blew.

I was looking at the attached images of the op's card  and  dyce9984's    notice the difference in the parts used ??   may be nothing, but like the R33  stamped on the top is not the same  lettering used [??]   then the chips beside them  one is   470/58  and the other is 470/53  then the ones with the 330 on them as well   the numbers under the 330 are different  ??  may mean nothing   just thought to point that out for fun

That because I fully removed the plating in an attempt to find out what the problem was at the time, thankfully I got in contact with EVGA support and they approved my RMA I just have to shop my faulty card of to their dept and they will send a replacement, 10/10 service so far :)

I also received a replacement 1070SC Black Edition as my replacement, no quibles. At first I was sckeptical that it would be comparible to a 980ti, but in all honesty with my initial performance last night I'd actually concede and say it performed a little bit better. More stable frame rates, at least in the Division.

The only weak part in the RMA chain is UPS's delivery time, but considering I only filled in a form, sent the item back and EVGA did everything else, no complaints from me.

One important note, I can also confirm that my card had vBIOS .72 already pre-installed on it and no it's not noisy, way quieter than my 980ti ever was with the default fan curve. I'm now considering getting another 1070 for SLI lol

I seriously hope EVGA sends something better than the 1070 for my dead Kingpin, or sends back a working good condition kingpin. That was my baby.

I guess beggars can't be choosers .   but for the cost of that king pin and all it was hyped up to be   evga came out on top    .   you got a 1070 sc  not that thats bad , but   you had a 850$ ''custom / hand picked parts '' card  and exchanged it for a  now a 400$  card  common everyday lower end run of the mill ''SC''  and not even a 1080 too boot ? .  I could understand better if you got a 1080  ftw or classy   that would be closer to equal value  .  if a GM car,  you traded  a corvette  for a caprice ,.  true they both can do 65mph  I guess .  still I guess getting something instead of hoop jumping and RMA tag  just to find in the end they flat turned you down and get nothing   is still better then nothing  .   I could see if you had a 980ti ssc / ftw  and getting a 1070 sc  ,but ???? [opinion]

Just be thankful that EVGA PROVIDE A class service, most other brands will instant void your warrenty for dismantling a card and blame your tampering for the damage, a upgrade is a upgrade and for EVGA to replace a card for another that provides a slight boost in performance is a good deed imo.

true  , another saying is don't look a gift horse in the mouth   and a little something is better then a whole lot of nothing  .   like said above evga does serve better then the rest , and why regardless  when I go NVidia I go EVGA  .   something like that would erk me like I said above but in the end just shrug my  shoulders and move on .   what I say  better to take a average priced card   like a sc / ftw  so when you do this  and get a replacement card  your still in that ball park  and feeling not so hurt   [opinion]   that's what I was looking at you paid for a 850$  kingpin but got a 450$ [??] replacement.   not to say performance maybe on par [??]

    enjoy your new card

I had a similar experience with my 980ti CLASSIFIED. From the time I booted up my rig - I had 35 to 45 seconds and then it froze. I removed one of my 980 cards and it was the CLASSIFIED. What is was doing from a cold start is heating up in that 45 seconds to the point where it was extremely hot, fans running and all. I submitted the card for an RMA and got a new one that works like a champ. I have never needed an RMA from EVGA but I must say they were fast in replacing the bad card.

My kingpin was faster than a 1070 in all the games I play. At least from looking at what benchmarks show for the card. I don't need to be thankful for anything, my money did that part for me...

If that's the case (which is debatable from all of the reviews that I've seen because stock for stock is what EVGA bases their replacements on should they not have your model) then you can call them up/email them and complain that your stock to stock performance is lower with the 1070.
