Here is something I noticed the other day. When I load another timing and voltage profile the TRFC setting goes to 9. That happens every time, and I don't recall that happening on p07. I got a bunch of bios beep codes the first time it happened and all the default settings loaded. It still does it every time I load another bios profile, but after I change TRFC back to 89 there are no problems.

Installed the P09 BIOS update. Now I get a garbled screen when I enter the CMOS Setup Utility and go to the first screen where you set the date and time. After more experimentation, I discovered the nature of this problem: 1. Setting a password in the BIOS, then Saving and Exiting, causes the Date/Time screen to be corrupted the next time I enter BIOS Setup. 2. Clearing the password in the BIOS, then Saving and Exiting, fixes this problem the next time I enter BIOS Setup. 3. This problem occurs with both the P08 and P09 updates. 4. This problem does not occur with the P07 update. Can anyone else duplicate this problem on their system? Moved to new thread: http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=118161

Since installing my GTX275 cards and W7 last month, I've had a number of crashes leading to the dreaded BSOD (reported by W7 to be graphics card issues). I upgraded my PS yesterday from Antec 650W to 1000W thinking that might be the problem. Didn't help. Just flashed to P09 today. At first I couldn't boot into Windows or the Windows repair disk or an Acronis repair disc or even the Windows 7 original disk and I was getting pretty crazy! I pulled out and/or disconnected everything except one graphics card, 1 GB RAM and my boot drive and reset the CMOS. W7 started right up! Long story short it was the RAM. I couldn't get 4 sticks to boot using the auto settings in the BIOS which, if I recall was 1.5V, 1333 gHz, 9/9/9/24 1T (I got three sticks to boot but not 4). I reset the voltage to 1.65 and the timings to 9/9/9/24 2T at 1600 gHz (native settings for my RAM). Everything is running great now Though it's been less than one day everything seems clean and stable and no BSOD so far! Mike

how are your systems running on this new BIOS people ? For me it looks good and stable although I may have developed second CPU degrading on me ... now back to stock speeds and fully stable. I also noticed as someone noted above, the integrated audio crackling is less now. just finished testing stability with IBT 2.3 at stock FSB (20 max rounds passed) and OCCT full screen test on SLI video cards (all running stock for time being) 1hr passed. reason is that i am unable to keep any longer stable CPU at or above 3.6GHz. it's stable one day and fails testing (BSOD) a week later or so. maybe CPU is degrading (1 yr old chip running 24/7 overclocked) or maybe my board is playing tricks on me, that i cannot figure out! memory is not a problem, it passed 20 cycles of memtest86+ 2.11 at 1800MHz no problems. considering return to P07 maybe on weekend and re-claiming my CPU Overclocks (if still possible) though I doubt that. those Q9450 chips are dying like flies in my hands LOL. this one is third one which served me longest (1 yr OC'ed), first 2 were weak from start so returned them.
