Hey Guys! Quick question. I was installing my power drive and attaching the 24 piece connector to the motherboard. I was having an issue though. When I tried to put the connector in, there was a weird 2 x 2 piece on the end of the 24 piece connector that wasn't going in properly. There were little things on the top that would hit the side of the 10 x 2 part. The larger part would slip in great, but the extra piece wouldn't. Do I even need the second piece attached, or just use the 20 pieces that are all together.

Thanks!

    Hello,

If your motherboard only requires 20 pins you would simply not install the extra 4 (2x2)

Newer motherboard models will usually require all 24 pins to be installed. This is the reason why the 20 and 4 pin are split. So it is compatible with older or lower power requirement motherboards.

Thanks for the response back. I know the motherboard I pretty new, i think the model is from this year and the diagram in the Asus user guide shows all 24 pins going in. Is there a way to get the little 2x2 piece in or should I still leave it out? Thanks for the help
