Eagerly awaiting any information on a EVGA 1080 Hybrid.

I am a huge fan of water cooling and almost bought the 980ti hybrid but I decided to wait for pascal.

I'm hoping to eventually see a hybrid that covers the VRMs in addition the to the GPU.  Maybe this time?

What use is knowledge if there is no understanding?~Stobaeus

Both 980s and 1080s are the same size, same position of the fan, so im guessing we are going to be able to use the same hybrid kit, with the founders edition?

I hope you guys divided up a bigger % of stock for the Hybrid coolers (vs ACX) vs Maxwell. Maxwell Hybrids were stupid successful. Sold out for months.

Yep. Waiting on two of these. I hope we can buy 2 at a time. I have run 2 way SLI for a few years now and always have trouble getting a second card due to the one per household rule. I also believe we should be able to preorder these cards too. Just wait in line.

I have my perfectly running 980ti Hybrid.  As I am waiting on big Pascal I hope the 1080TI or whatever they call it has the hybrid version ready day 1.  You will have my money as soon as have you the beast available.

Also itching for news. My Vive is now on the way so I need to upgrade to something VR capable ASAP and I've had my eye on the hybrid cards for a while - would love to be able to go straight to the 1080 hybrid and not have to buy something in the interim...

I just broke down and got a 970 for my Vive that I've had in the box for 2 weeks (I don't think my 660ti was going to cut it.)  Hoping there are no weird issues with the step-up program this time around (like only having founders edition..)

CPU: i7 5820k
GPU: 970 SC (soon to be 1080 ACX)
Displays: BenQ W7000, HTC Vive
Storage: 2x 1TB SSD's, 2x 300GB Velociraptors and a 3TB 7200 RPM drive (no RAID)
RAM: 32GB

NDA is up on the Founder Edition...

Founder edition is the only edition that was given out for reviews, and the only card out at the moment, so why would there be any other NDAs?

You think partners don't have cards built already or at a minimum (for some versions) all of the specs to include prospective release dates?  They have requirements to keep things under wraps until a given date.  They always do.

This isn't about reviews, this is about giving out any information on the cards that will be for sale very soon.

They prob do, but they're prob under different rules under their contract of employment. But what I was meaning is that when he said the NDA was up and you replied that is was only up for the F.E. when its Nvidia's only card. EVGA may have their own NDA pertaining to their cards, as do the other partners. .

Lovely!

What i would love to get would be a VR hybrid. Ie. one that has the front panel as well and the hybrid cooling. That would be my dream come true.. but even now im happy to just take the hybrid.

Rift arriving this friday, hope my trusty 780 holds up until i manage to get my hands on a evga 1080, preferably hybrid.

They still have an obligation to NVIDIA regardless of what you may call it to only disclose information within the bounds of that obligation.  That's all semantics at this point. We are all essentially in agreement in the end.

That's good to hear. I've been holding out for months for a 1080, preferably a hybrid.

I wonder if it's safe to assume the Founders Edition will be the only 1080 on sale for at least a few weeks before any other companies are allowed to sell their own version?

EVGA, be smart and make a Hybrid option for SLI. Like two cards attached to a 240 RAD or something. :D
