bg8780 Looks great! I'm still happy with my FE Hybrid since Pascal doesn't care about the extra power to OC. Does the "EVGA" and "Hybrid" side panel light up? Although I did spend more money just to have one a few weeks early. $700+$120

ohh man,I hope evga dont overdo the RGB on the hybrid. the rgb lighting thats on the seahawk is acceptable tho,not the led fan. I know the 980ti hybrid has some rgb ligthing, but its very minimal so im guessing they are gonna do the same with the 1080 hybrid one. edit: if the backplate is fully or any RGB im skipping 1080 hybrid and going to the seahawk version

I don't know with any certainty, but none of the other cards have it on the back plate, so I doubt it.

My bad, for some reason I thought the FTW's had RGB backplates. I now realize they don't.

Hello! I have been lurking in this thread and following your discussion for a couple of weeks. I have been waiting for this card because I thought that I would be able to change the radiator fan on it. The reason I haven't purchased the Gigabyte Waterforce card is because it's not possible on that one without breaking the warranty. I want the quietest fan on the market that still does the job good enough, that's why I want the ability to change the fan. When I see the screenshots on this Hybrid card now it looks like it's not possible to change the fan on this one either? Is that correct? A very stupid move by EVGA if that is the case because then I have to skip this one too. I'm not going to break my warranty to change the fan and I won't settle with a fan that is not silent enough.

Look under the "Built in Radiator and Fan" section. It says "Fan can also be swapped or customized."

I don't understand why you cannot change the radiator fan. 4 screws and it is out. http://www.evga.com/produ...8G-P4-6288-KR_XL_4.jpg

What makes you think that you can not change the radiator fan? Looking at the pictures on the product page it looks like there is a fan header in-line from the card to the radiator fan. It looks to me like you'll be able to swap fans pretty easily. -PopinFRESH

Aha, I missed the connector in the middle there. Looked like it had the same solution as the Waterforce card. That is good news, I'm happy that I was mistaken! Then I wait some more for some reviews. I will go back into hiding and observe now. Thanks for answering. Bye! Oh, and if it's not considered offtopic, what fan do you think will be the quietest fan to mount on that radiator that still can cool this card sufficiently?

Im also interesting to know which fan will be the quietest if I chose to remove the stock fan. All my other fans are from noiseblocker so I really want that brand on all my fan's. It seems like its pretty much indentical with the 980ti hybrid fan on the rad, so have any replaced the stock fan? if so,is it pwm or dc?

i don't have any experience with Noiseblockers, but Noctua fans were always toted as one of the best when it comes to quiet performance. mine have been performing very well.

I keep hearing ppl say that, but I accidently got a black and white theme going on my case and I really dislike noctua color choice and any fan that is not black and white will throw it off it doesnt seem that NB has any fans that has 2000+ rpm that is silent,so I might just stick with the stock one. I have seen a few NB fans at 100% speed with around 1900rpm and those was NOT quiet.

noctua has all black fans...well the rubber feet on them are brown but i took them off since they don't vibrate without them or anything. can always hook the fans up to a 4 pin on the mobo and control them. That's what i do, works out just fine. But I didn't mind the stock ones that evga had on them to be honest. good fans too imo. https://www.amazon.com/s/...;field-keywords=noctua

i know u feel because i have a white build. i have 2 140mm traditional Noctuas running as my intake because u can't see them. i have 2 of the black/grey 140mm Noctua Reduxs installed on my Kraken X61's radiator because those can be seen through the window of my case. i believe the Noctua Industrial series fans are also a dark color.

You can also buy the different color rubber corner mounts to better match your build. Just look up "noctua chromax" on amazon. I used to use noctua's in my old build, but I switched to Gentle Typhoons which matched my color scheme perfectly along with their awesome performance/noise. I had zero problems with noctua's either, just had a lower RPM rate--but the black one's go pretty high, so.

Didn't know that about the rubber feet, thanks for that info. I have the 3000 rpm ones and like to crank them up to full sometimes to laugh at how much air they push but the noise at that speed is insane. lol I can't really hear them at 1500'ish which i think is where they run at normally.

People who bought Sea Hawk miss one great card because impatience. You will see how Hybrid look inside case compare to Sea Hawk. And EVGA offer Hybrid for fair price, at least for USA market, for EU we will see. But 729$ is really competitive price. Cheaper than Classified and both have custom PCB and 8+8 pin and same clock. But Classified look extreme well through Window Side panel. LED Logo on black background with 4 small screws from both side on metal surface look better than ever.
