I know Jacob confirmed that the 980 hydro was coming out in 2 weeks, but did he say anything about the classified?

Haha, these poor guys. They're are probably so busy with RMAs, Tech support, trying to maintain stock, quell unrest in the forums, release new products, manage promotions... Jeeze, EVGA sure knows how to stay busy! Make me tired just thinking about everything going on over there. :P

I really don't understand what the mix up is Jacob posted a few days ago that its on the way. That means they are being shipped to EVGA from the factory as of that post. I think we will see them late this week or early next week. The person who posted that they are delayed either is lieing or spoke with a tech at EVGA that does not know. I would go with what Jacob said he is the product manger and has no reason to lie if he said its on the way its on the way.

I spoke with the tech at EVGA EU(Germany) regarding an RMA on my Evbot that I got no response on. I told him that I wanted a replacement quick as the 980 Classies where in route the next couple of weeks and he then told me they where delayed and the info form Jacob came from their original road-map. He also said that the reason for delay was that EVGA wanted to release a perfect product without issues.
The only confusion I can think of is that the EVGA tech was referring to 980 KPE's somehow. 
I only relayed what I was told, nothing more.

That's nice for the people waiting for the 980 Classy to have that info.

Well, That's just about what I suspected would happen.
 
Looks like I'll have another LONG wait in order to get Four Classifieds for use in 4-Way SLI, But WTH, It's Not like it hasn't happened in the past with All the different releases with the GTX 780 series!
 
Guess it's Time to sit back once again and just watch the Clock......

The better cards i'm looking for just may be out earlier than i think. I'm waiting for the 6 to 8 gig GPUs.
I did see some 980 Classies on Ebay in the 700 something range.

$700 current bid with a reserve of $1400 maybe. There are no 980 classifieds on ebay for less than $1400
 
On a side note. What is going on with all the 970 problems?!? I'm kinda scared to buy a classified with all the complains about the 970. I mean a lot.
What is going on EVGA?!? 

 
Have my fingers crossed that the Classified will be here soon. Hopefully it's not too much longer.     :/

Since they're on the way how about a little more information regarding the TDP limit? Unlocked voltage won't mean much when we can't increase the TDP.

Like pretty much all cards we have to rely on 3rd party bios or hardmods for increased tdp.  Same was with gtx780ti kingpin edition.  Before 3rd party bios's were released there were tons of complaints.

True Statement,
If there are No 3rd party Bios's available to allow for Voltages and TDP changes for the EVGA GTX 980 Classified like the ones I downloaded and used in my 4-Way SLI EVGA GTX Classified Kingpins (Skyn3t modded Bios's on Overclock.net), IMO There won't be much of a reason to go from a reference PCB Card to a More Expensive Non-reference PCB Card such as the Classified.

I'm using the same BIOS too, I hope that with the 980 Classy will be the same

That's why I'm concerned. I was hoping since it has triple bios support, EVGA might provide a bios with unlocked TDP. What would be the point if they were all the same bios or all just as good as the reference. It seems to defeat the purpose of this card for anyone not willing to do a hardmod, and in that case I don't understand why they couldn't be modded before being sold.
 
I don't know about you guys, but I'm losing hope for a modded Skyn3t bios for the 900 series.

I have been watching Skyn3t's posts on Overclock.net and He has no modded Bios's available as of this time for even the reference 980 PCB Cards (The GTX 980 Bios Template shot states at the bottom "We're working on it!") , Let alone any mention of any modded Bios's for the Classifieds.
 
Looking Back to when I had them, I Now think I should have just Kept my four GTX 980 SC's and been Happy with Those reference PCB Cards.
