the 780/780ti classy EK water block is fit to 980 classy
some holes is not in the same place but it's ok

I KNEW the EK-FC780 Classy would probably Work on the EVGA GTX 980 Classified!
 
So Much for having to Buy New Hundred $+ FC water blocks again!

I have looked at mine and Those two (outlined in Red) and another one are the only ones I see, But the Block Will Work!

OH man .. this is awesome news about the Blocks.
What about the memory contacts on the block though? 780/780Ti 3gb vs 4GB on 980 Classy,
do they line up?

the block does not fit 100% .
I found some problems and the board bending but can be used.
be careful

hey guys any update on the blocks fitting the 980 classy, i have 2 blocks sitting here waiting to be fitted but before undoing everything a confirmation on block would be awesome, also i have evga 780 classy backplate will this also fit ?im guessing yes if the block fits lol :)

just wandering if there any certain change we need to be aware of when swapping blocks,  for ex , new length screws, or washers we need? or do they just fit as is ?

hey guys, sorry for the late reply, work is hectic atm, just want to say thank you to everyones input here, :)
 
i have 3 780 ti's with blocks so a lot of money i can save if i successfully fit the blocks :)!!!!
also really appreciate the heads up on bending and etc, im just waiting on an sli tube fitting and also thermal pads, oh which also reminds me, is it ok if i use same size thermal pads as what came with ek block? 0.5 and the 1mm pads?
 
could you please let us know what size pads go where , or should we just follow "ekfc780 classy" instructions again ?
