Hello!

You may have already seen a thread where I have been giving away a bunch of free stuff with free shipping.  If not, the thread is here:
http://forums.evga.com/Giveaway-Lower-48-US-Only-Computer-Parts-m2266842.aspx
The above thread is almost dead because I am almost out of valuable free computer parts to give away.

This thread is slightly different.  How so?  I want to give away some more free stuff in order to unclutter my life, but this stuff is large and/or heavy.  In other words, I am offering more free stuff, except this time you will need to pay for the shipping if you want one of these items.

How will this work?
1) PM me your street address and state the item(s) you are interested in.
2) First come, first serve.
3) Once you PM me, I will PM a shipping estimate back to you.
4) Once you PayPal me the value of the shipping estimate, I will ship it to you.
5) If a deal falls through, I will move on to the next person in line.

Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W [NO LONGER AVAILABLE]

Lian Li Open Tech/Test Bench [NO LONGER AVAILABLE]

Phase Change Cooler #1 [NO LONGER AVAILABLE]
This unit is a custom-built unit.  It was designed "to hold -35c or colder at 300 watts and idle around -45c".  I had no way of measuring my heat load so I cannot say for sure if that specification holds true, but I do know that it has served me well with no hiccups.  There is just a simple on-off switch in the back to turn it on.

Phase change "#1" is the one on the right with LED temperature display

Phase Change Cooler #2 [NO LONGER AVAILABLE]
This unit started out as a lowly Prometeia Mach II GT.  One day, the flexible hose ruptured.  So, I had it repaired and upgraded.  It now has a longer stainless flex line, an upgraded evaporator and higher CFM fan (the reason the front is modified), and has been tuned to handle 250W and customizable to work well with either CPUs or GPUs.  According to the person who modified it, all it needs is an additional evaporator fan (push-pull configuration) in order to support 300W of heat load.

Phase change "#2" is the one on the left.

The PVC shell around the cold head has not yet been cemented.  This means that you can choose which hold-down plate (comes with two [pictured]) will suit your application best when it arrives and then cement it permanently.

They are both quite heavy.  Sorry, I don't have a scale.  I am GUESSING (don't quote me on this) that shipping will be around $50 for each one.  But it will depend on your location and how shipping prices have varied.

    Here is unit #1:
    The top:

The bottom (a picture of the plate which would be up against the back of your motherboard):

Pardon the foam stuck to the bottom.  You will need to put foam on the top of the plate so that it doesn't short on the back of your motherboard of course.

Unit #1 is designed to fit a variety of different CPU sockets.  I don't know off the top of my head which ones specifically, but you can see that there are many options "built in".

    Here is unit #2:

Unit #2 was designed to be used in a wide variety of applications.  I never glued it together because I wanted to be able to adapt for various applications.  I used my own ghetto brackets clamped together.

    It comes with these brackets:

You will have to choose which of the two brackets you want to use.  Once you choose a bracket, install it, put the PVC tube around the cold head, install the PVC collar in the back of the cold head (inside the PVC tube), and glue the PVC tube to the PVC collar to make it permanent.
The two included brackets should work for a variety of Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA products.

I had sent two messages in pm before I even posted in here, lol. I forgot to specify number 1. I hate to say, I won't be skipping ad I have been looking for a phase change since day 1 of overclocking and trying to get temps down.

The 3960x and 5960x would both love this thing.

Again not a big deal. Good luck on 300 watts with either of those cpus overclocked though. As they will be way past a 300 watt load overclocked.

    A 3960z @ will pull around 470 watts running at 4.8GHz
    A 5960x @ will pull around 450 watts running at 4.6GHz

I'm sure you know this though. If not just passing the information along to you. Good luck with the phase changer it is a nice one. big thanks for doing this for everyone.

It's not gone, but there is someone already interested in it.  I will be getting shipping estimates tomorrow.  I have received PMs for mostly everything so far.  Only Phase Change #2 is sort of on the fence.

... what adapters comes with it?

I already answered above, but here are a few pictures to show them in action.

    Larger: http://open-web-community.com/uploads/computer%20parts/phaseinaction1.jpg

"Unit #2" is hooked up to the video card in these pictures.   You can probably see in the above picture that I used none of the PVC collar.  I just put a simple plate with a notch cut out over the cold head and then screwed it down.  I also wrapped insulation around it in the absence of the PVC housing.

    Two more pictures.

That's my world record 9400GT run with the 9400GT at -30 to -40c.

I was just looking... and ...

I forgot that I had these.  I believe the bigger plate is for LGA 1155 and LGA 1366 and the smaller plate is for LGA 775 and GPUs.  AMD is probably somewhere in there too.

What you do is install whichever of the two plates, and then PVC cement the PVC shell into place to hold it all together permanently.

Well, the shipping company is busy and being rude. They don't want to give me an estimate because they are busy. But I am trying to explain that I will be shipping this stuff and just need to do it in two steps instead of 1.

I got a shipping estimate for the PSU.

I bought boxes for the test bench and phase change coolers. I will pack them all up nicely and then maybe the shipping company will give me the time of day to give me an estimate. Maybe I will have to do one at a time and go through the line each time or something.

*Just as a reminder. In this section, you cannot even charge for shipping. I know I'm a little late here, but wanted to mention it for future giveaways.*

EVGAWeb_ShaneD Since you bunch seem to be quite zealous with the generosity, we determined a new section was needed for everything related to members giving each other stuff.
    • Post your own contests - keep in mind these contests must be items you personally own that you are giving away free and clear without any sort of payment or affiliation with another person/business/entity.
    • Post your thank yous - any time someone gives you something, post here to thank them.
We have also determined that we will no longer be giving away BR's for giveaways.  Thank you and continue the love fest.

NOTE: I will be offline from 11/21/16 to 12/15/16. If you have a problem please PM another Mod, as I won't be available to answer you back. Thanks.

He is providing a giveaway free of payment. The only charge is shipping, which he isn't making a profit off of... It's pretty free and clear of any sort of payment... Unless his shipping charges are inflated.

    **EDIT**
I could be wrong, but it's hard to decipher the way that guideline is meant to be upheld since it doesn't exactly clarify shipping specifically as being a form of payment.

They definitely aren't inflated. I greatly appreciate it being done the way this one went, and I do agree it wouldn't be considered payment, as he gave exact shipping quotes. He didn't even request money for the shipping materials.

I do understand the purpose behind the giveaway, no money exchange rule also, which is to keep people from charging shipping for game codes they aren't allowed to sell.

Thank you for the heads up.  I would estimate that it was $1000 worth of stuff given away for $100 worth of shipping -- some of which was later donated to non-profits or other organizations.  Perhaps it would have been better suited for the Hot Deals section.

Either way, I am glad that it was a success and that it is finished.

I'm going to ask for a clarification on this from Rob. I will post here again when I get an answer.

NOTE: I will be offline from 11/21/16 to 12/15/16. If you have a problem please PM another Mod, as I won't be available to answer you back. Thanks.
