Just checked the configurator on EK's website and now it says they have no plans to make any waterblocks anymore for the classified...
A couple of days ago it was still 'coming soon', I really hope they will still change their minds and do create one since I(and presumably others) really want to put my classified under water.

In case EK won't make one, do you guys know any other companies that might bring out a fullcover block? I'm fairly new to watercooling and currently only have EK stuff in my build.

Best Regards,
Mattux

I saw this as well. I was wondering if the extreme lack of classified supply has something to do with the potential cancelation. I am also wondering if another card is coming down the pipeline.

EK Probably figures only 100 classified in existence, half get returned due to people complaining about clocks, maybe half of the half not returned get waterblocks. So possibly not worth it to design and manufacture 25 water blocks? Maybe similar to the msi gtx 780 ti lightning, only 12 were available.

Probably ran into issues so it will take longer to make a block, probably why there no hydro yet either.

    Hi Everyone,

Not later than this morning I asked for the ETA of the 1080 Classy to a colleague at the HQ so it's probably an error in the CoolingConfigurator.  I just send him an email to look into this issue in the Configurator.

I should have an answer tomorrow morning and I will let you know.

I received an answer from EKWB support and it seems we're out of luck

    Thank you for contacting us.
I'm really sorry but sadly I have to confirm, that due to the amount of work with other water blocks and products we work on, there will be no full cover water blocks for the Classified cards.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding.

People wait and Monoblock for Rampage V Edition 10th.
What they produce so much if no time for some projects.

This is bad time to cancel waterblock because they need at least 4-5 weeks from paper to shelves.
I told about need to some manufacturer produce multi compatible universal VGA waterblock. But not as.

But not like this... People need proper block for 2016, not for 2008.

Anyway price of Classified cards now should drop for 20$ and people who want single card will not have problem and EVGA GTX1080 FTW Hybrid is anyway main player for this year. Asetek is producer of Hybrid and they know what they do. People didn't pay attention on their sites but they produce excellent AIO system for servers, only company not invest in marketing as CORSAIR example. But CORSAIR best coolers are from Asetek.
And situation is not as before... Watercooling systems are more for visual experience...
Manufacturers not allow overclocking as before several years. If NVIDIA allow some space fabric overclocked models reach to the limit and without LN2... it's small difference between AIO and watercooling card. Maybe 50-60MHz max. So many times I thought to build watercooling but something stop me to pay 400$ for cooling, not performance increase and in same time I constantly have some weak spots in PC.
Storage or GPU or something else and than it's hard to spend money on loop.
But for people who have EKWB loop and Classified this is very bad news.

Vlada, a water loop doesn't have to cost $400. Just buy a Swiftech AIO kit for your cpu, then add components to the loop as you wish. Unlike most of the other AIO kits, the Swiftechs are made and marketed as expandable. Most of the cost of people's custom loops is in the fancy fittings, rigid tubing, fancy pump housings, etc. Flexible tubing and plain g1/4 barbed fittings is cheap and functional.

Adding my 1080 with EK block to my Swiftech H220-X loop took about 15 minutes plus a little more to bleed and leak test, and cost me one short piece of extra tubing and a couple of zip ties.

Happy EVGA customer for over 11 years and counting.  Affiliate Code: 0Y7-1VU-ATW2

Well that is disappointing. Was really looking forward to putting the classy underwater.  Might have to reconsider selling the classified and getting another card that I can watercool.

Swiftech is very hard to find in Europe... H240 X2 Prestige cost 240e + GPU waterblock 100-120 euro
and maybe need one more single 120mm radiator, maybe.
320 X2 cost even more, if you want to change something price increase. Again it's around 400+ euro. With EKWB Predator even more.

This same thing Happened with the GTX 980 Ti Classified, Where it was stated to use an EK-FC780 Classy water block that "Almost" Fit.

Now it makes me wonder if a 1080 Classified Kingpin water block will be made similar to the one that was produced for the GTX 980 Ti Classified Kingpin.

    Primary Rig: Open Bench Table - 5960X/4.875GHz - ASUS RVE - Corsair 3000MHz-16GB - CPU-Phase Change - GPU-Chilled Water - Graphics (TBD) Secondary Rig: NZXT H630 - 980/4.5GHz - EVGA E760 - Corsair 2000MHz-12GB - CPU-HK/GPU-EK/MB-EK:Water Cooled - 3X-SLI EVGA 980ti Classified (06G-P4-4998-KR)

Hi, Is it possible to know if the FTW edition will get full waterblocks. I really want to purchase a pair of evga 1080's but i have been waiting for the classified cards to come in stock with their blocks. Now that they are not getting blocks will the FTW get full cover blocks? If so then i will order 2 straight away. Obviously things change c'est la vie, but i would like some sort of confirmation if possible.

Downgraded to a gtx 950 after selling my 780Ti's about 1 year ago, been waiting for pascal since they were announced long time ago. Waiting too long now

Downgraded to a gtx 950 after selling my 780Ti's about 1 year ago, been waiting for pascal since they were announced long time ago. Waiting too long now

You may get an answer here; however, better to post 10 series WB questions for EK -HERE

I still think there is another card on the horizon that prompted this move.  With classified availability so scarce as it is this would seem to make sense.  Such a shame honestly, didnt think EK would bag a block for a high end card.  Then again, with low quantity of classifieds around, cost could also be a factor and the potential ROI might not be worth it.

Well this blows. I got the classified specifically because your site said it was being worked on... Now I am going to be unable to cool my card with an EK waterblock. And half the other stuff out there is pure

I just ordered a classified tonight, now i learn this, after sending EK a mail later this morning. The only other Option i see is to send a Card to alphacool. They will make a "waterblock" for it. Allthough ist something in between a fullcover waterblock and a GPU block.

Or cancel my order and get a striks Card. But i hate it cause ist got 6 plus 8 Pins, that doesnt look good at all, id like to Keep the classified if i may.

    Ditto.

Disappointed would be an understatement! I have 2 x 1080 Classified that were delivered last week and these were bought ONLY because EK site said a full cover waterblock was coming soon!!!

I feel badly let down by EK rather than EVGA and am left with damn good watercooling set-up and now 2 x expensive cards I cannot use in loop!

I haven't had an aircooled graphics card since old 780GTX, so really don't want to go that route.

Is there are petition at EK, as I don't do Facebook, but want to push them to reconsider as selling these classy's would be a big loss financially and they are the type of card I want, just watercooled!!!

The funny thing about the entire situation was I thought about just getting FTW editions, but said to myself there is no way EK wouldn't support a flagship release.  Really glad I didn't get a second Classified yet.

I just ordered a classified last night myself only to learn a few hours later that ek wont make waterblocks for it anymore. They will make blocks for the FTW version, they answered me these would be available in 2 weeks time. I could cancel my order and get the FTW card, but im going to keep the classified, and order another one a week later. Suppksedly were going to get waterblockks for the classified, but not from EKWB, the other option would be to send the card to Alphacool, im sure they would gladly build us a hybrid block for it. Either way i want to keep the classified, as i believe its the best 1080 money can buy for now, in 2 slots.

Ironically, EKWB makes a full body water block for the Titan XP
