Why did the lightning get a XXL (True Full cover) block, but the classified didn't?

It's just how it worked out this time around. Next gen I'll definitely be pushing for as many XXL acetal blocks as possible.

Hey guys! Just saw the Facebook post to asking to show our rigs with EKWB parts. Here is my current build "Grey Matter" it is a Cooler Master HAF 912. It features almost entirely EKWB parts for the water loop. I'm using 2x 120mm EKWB XT radiators, and a 240mm EKWB XT radiator. Im using EK-CSQ 90° fittings together with Primochill rigid fittings. I'm using a EK-Supremacy CPU water block for my Intel 3930k processor along with 2x Monarch2x Ram water blocks with their Monarch universal modules for my 16gb of G.Skill Ripjaw memory.Last but nt least Im using the EKWB white acetal D5 pump top for my Swiftech MCP-655 pwm pump. EKWB is my favorite company for water cooling so far in my modding career and I am going to continue to use them in every build. I hope to one day be sponsored by them and promote their products in my custom PC builds.

Here are a few pictures of my build and you can find my work logs on Bit-tech, The Mod Zoo, and The Cooler Master 2013 Case Mod Competition Thread, just search for "Grey Matter". I tried to post the links but it wouldn't work. I may share a work log over here on the EVGA forums since I am using a EVGA 750W SuperNOVA PSU and I am going to be using a EVGA 780 GTX, andEVGA has been my go to company for the last 10 years of PC building from motherboards to PSUs to video cards. Anyway, I just wanted to share with you guys. Thanks for checking it out!

That really looks good Derrick.

Not only will it allow for better heat dissipation from the pump, the housing itself has the rubber mounts for physical separation.

Perfect combination of quiet and cool.

Nice one EK.

Got a pic or 2 of the black one?

Should we be expecting a revision on the 780 Classy block to be XXL some time later?

Probably isn't going to happen for the 780/ti Classy. But I was also initially told a plexi version wasn't possible and now it is, so I'll keep you guys up to date as possible. I will say if it's the last component you're waiting for in your build or something, I wouldn't wait.

So with rumours spreading that there will be a K|ngP|n 780ti/Titan with no voltage or TDP limits and also 6gb VRAM.

If this card does come to light (which it will in some form, even if not the specs above), will EK be producing a block for this card?

Please say "Yes", and if Yes, can you please make the block XXL Clean CSQ this time. But more attractive in my opinion.

Cheers.

Not enough info about the card is available at this time to make a decision if we will make a block for it or not.

We don't plan on making anymore XXL Clean Plexi blocks, only CSQ nickel plexi and acetal will be XXL.

I'll keep you guys updated on the k|ngp|n block.

Thanks for the reply Derick...

That's to bad about the XXL Clean Plexi versions :/ but that's ok.
I have a couple of the Titan XXL Clean Blocks and they look Awesome!!
There is a "Pro" about the Non-XXL Version Blocks ~~ air can Easily flow over the rest of the uncovered PCB and cool the remaining components with ease.
I always have sufficient air blowing (dedicated fans) over my entire MB and GPU's even with Block's installed to be sure and cool everything that needs it.

THANKS for keeping us updated on the k|ngp|n Blocks.
You guys are doing an awesome job keeping up with demand on so many blocks these days and your Quality is Top Notch!!
Keep up the Great Work Derick and tell everyone there that we all appreciate it!!

Thanks for the kind words :) And yes we share the same thoughts on the non xxl plexi blocks. Components won't be unnecessarily smothered and easier for air to flow over.

Hehe yes he did. That's what I was waiting for until I said something. So to be clear, our 780 Classy block will fit the 780 Classy, 780 Classy Ti, and 780 Classy Ti K|ngp|n.

Frozen CPU has 1 Acetal left. You can call them and ask if they have a ETA for anything they carry. Nice people to deal with :)
I got my Acrylic Classy Blocks from them.
