Ok this is driving me nutz. If I already have mumble open and I try to play SC2 it starts up like normal and I see the overlay and everything but once I get to login screen the game freezes up. In order for me to play SC2 and have mumble open I have to have SC2 already open then open mumble after, but then I do not see the overlay this way. Same thing with MW2 but I don't really play that. Works fine for BC2, anyone got any ideas?

does sc2 use dx11? mumble doesn't play nice with dx11 yet, will have to wait for the next update or use dx10

I'm not comfortable using mumble , someone told me that the program was insecure and allowed people to upload malicious programs onto your machine. I'm not sure if this is true , I'd really like to know if thats the case.

I do not believe that is the case. But as with everything on interwebz you have to be cautious with it. I only use mumble with the boys that are on the EVGA mumble server. I do not go visit other mumble servers that are run by other clans. There is about 15 of us that use it and we are all about having fun. Come in and join us and you will have fun.

I've never heard of that, thought I know TeamSpeak 3 has a feature that lets you share files with other people in the server, i could see how that could be exploited so you may have the 2 of them confused. (Though I haven't heard of any exploit with TeamSpeak either)
A quick search online and I didnt come up with anything referring to the exploit you are talking about.

Usually this happens when you have an invalid user name. make sure it doesn't include spaces or any special characters other than letters and numbers. Also, sometimes your install gets corrupted so you might have to reinstall and it should work.

I believe the Mumble website has info on how to create a Murmur server (Murmur is the Mumble server).

.....downloaded....not impressed AT ALL....was too annoying to edit settings, vent is so much simpler, you guys should get one of those....
Public notice: BF3 is actually still mostly a PC game!! With state of the art graphics and effects like none other! And all issues you may be having can be solved with google!

Push to Talk should be a requirement of VOIP usage. Its not just something you use as an option but as a courtesy to others while gaming. Nobody wants to hear your local news report blaring from your TV or you hacking and coughing over the microphone! I'm beyond sick and tired of what is nothing other then spam becoming a white noise in my headset while gaming. It is sad that I cant sit in mumble and not have to mute people I would otherwise enjoy talking to, but I cant! Because people refuse to stop being a lazy $@$# and set your voice activation accordingly or learn to use push to talk so they dont inconvenience others!  I spent good money on a G35 7.1 surround sound headset to hear my envorionment and to communitate effectively while gaming. So stop being an incosiderate gamer and cut the MIC SPAM!!!!

Did you reformat or have a new comp? If so, the authentication certificate was probably lost. You'll have to ask Sim to reset it for you.
