15 games are available now (unfortunately no Star Wars: Battlefront). EA will add more games over time, it said:
Here are the launch games:
  • Battlefield 3
  • Battlefield 4
  • Battlefield Hardline
  • Dragon Age: Origins
  • Dragon Age 2
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • Sim City
  • The Sims 3
  • FIFA 15
  • Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare
  • Need for Speed Rivals
  • Dead Space
  • Dead Space 2
  • Dead Space 3
  • This War of Mine
Origin

I could see people playing $4 every 8-12 months to beat all the single player games.  Would be s smart way to game the system.

Only way i would think about doing it is if they add newer single player games that cost more than $15 to purchase. If the game below $15 i would just buy it.

I wont be doing it, each year the games just seem to be getting worse, DA II was not near as good as DAO then DAI felt like it was lacking because of the resources and staff that got put into MP forcing SP to suffer. Then MA3... Titanfall it was fun but got dull was something new at least big freaking robots, Battlefield 4 was a mess, now Hardline a flop, Battlefront a major flop at least for the PC "glad I got that game for free". Deadspace even started to suffer due to the implement of MP. Looking at their list you would be better off saving some money buying the good games that are on that list while on sale and saving yourself some money in the long run.

Exactly why I ended up getting a  3DS and am getting extremely frugal with pc games. Seems as the prices go up the "triple-A" games get worse. What actually finally broke me was the absurd cost of Fallout 4 and it's season pass. I've seen and heard enough to know it's not worth the cost. Heck now Activision is thinking a 50 dollar price tag for their season pass is a smart idea.

Actually Fallout 4 is worth the money and the season pass have to wait and see. You could had gotten Fallout 4 pre launch for 40 bucks and a thirty dollar season pass. That is far from arm breaking, even without discouts 90 dollars for both the season pass and the game. Most that play a fallout game or any Bethesda TES normally spend over 40 dollars on the DLC as it comes out for more things to do.  Now if you had to choose between the Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 thats a hard one, but the Witcher 3 is better, but I do not have the time in Witcher 3 like I have put in Fallout 4. Have played Fallout 4 since it went live have over 700hrs put into it and have only done the BOS and the Institute endings.

Now more recent games defiantly not worth the money and their season pass/Premium are as follows Battlefield Hardline, and EA Star Wars Battlefront "atm finding a 40 player game is next to impossible glad I got it free". Both setting you back over 110 dollars I think on release.

I already have all the games on that list that I'd want to play. This seems geared towards someone fairly new to gaming. A good way to try them out.

of course they would not add Battlefront to their list. They want as much sales as possible. Every game that is on their "list" is already "dated".

Valve won't do it cause they need to milk erm uh earn their revenue from game devs and indies as much as possible. Especially through their sub-par sales events.

Looks like all throw away titles that EA has already milked and is trying to get that last drop of money out of.

EA Games and Activition are the "bad-guys" when it comes to milking money, Ubisoft pretty much right there too. EA Games won't even have their titles on Steam, because they want the money going directly to them. Nevertheless, I thought about this 4.99/month deal for titles through EA Games, because I don't have Battlefield 4 nor Battlefield Hardline. So I could play them both for a month and then cancel the subscription. It's not a bad deal if you want to play one of their titles and you don't have the title.

The carrot and stick approach EA is taking though is they hope you subscribe and indefinitely forget you are subscribed. It's how most subscription services persist.

Ubisoft is in many ways worse than EA. Uplay is a disaster.

Origin Access is a scam. I have never decided to play BF4 until now, only because my interests were elsewhere. So I downloaded BF4 because it was part one of the games you could download if you have access. Come to find out, you only have access to 2 of the bundles for free. Then they want you to download the "premium" pacage which is $35 for it. I might as well cancel origin access and just buy the game in full. This is stupid.

    And Brad_Hawthorn,
I know when I have a subscription with someone and know when to cancel; they're not going to screw me over.

Dragon Age is a very long game. I never finished it, but it was fun and looks great.

Not my fault if you're offended.

EA should add Starwars Battlefront to Origin access. That could help with the low player base (24hour peak player count is under 3k). The game turn 1year old tomorrow (Nov 17th).

I finished it, it definitely has a huge twist at the end, and it makes you want to buy the expansions.
