I was looking for something that could automatically detect my hardware and provide the correct drivers for it. Something preferably free. Would you guys know anything about this?

Be careful. There are a lot of scams and viruses associated with the driver finder stuff. If you use a free one, it will probably include adware, possibly a virus, and probably won't work fully without paying extra. I would recommend just skipping straight to a paid service in order to get something legit and half decent.

I signed up for driveragent.com for a year once. I did it because I kept on having friends and relatives ask me for help and it became much more efficient to sign up for that service. Driveragent is relatively cheap, safe, easy to use, and can be used on multiple computers. They offer a stand-alone application, but I preferred to just use the browser plugin and download the drivers using the browser (so I didn"t have to install the application on multiple people's computers).

Driveragent.com's browser plugin scans your hardware, and offers you a mirrored copy straight from their site of any newer driver or BIOS updates. It also lists your hardware (in case you don't know your specs), and has other nifty information and driver release notes.

Forget driver finder software. Get all the latest drivers for your system from station-drivers.com.
