Playing on Ultra-Nightmare now, took me 13hrs didn't find everything beat it on the highest difficulty it would let me play on. Doom gives you the feeling like those of us who are old enough to remember when the original Doom launched in 1993, we where in awe, going oh hellz yeah, pure violence captivating us.  Its like going back in time and having those same feeling when we first played the original doom. If you do not have this game yet get it!

I'll probably get this when the summer sales come around. I watched a review and somebody was actually complaining it wasn't like Doom 3, which sold me.

Not my fault if you're offended.

Read that the multiplayer was intentionally slowed down compared to the SP.  To me, that is a nogo, Doom is supposed to feel fast and frenetic.  Quake multiplayer was based off of Doom, to me original Doom always felt like the predecessor of Q3/UT99 in a good way.
Honestly I likely won't play multi much if at all, and if I do, it would most likely be coop.
Single player campaign really has my attention.

I think they still haven't patched it to be SLI compatible in either the game nor the drivers to it yet......... Most people switch the Nvidia drivers to use  alt frame rendering 1  or 2  to try  to help it out...

I'm going to have to check that out.  I remember "back in the day" building maps for Duke Nukem with some tool they included.  I can only imagine it's even easier now.

I decided to give it another chance and I finally made it through some checkpoints. I was doing rather well until my weapons refused to change after I ran low on ammo. At least I am finally able to keep my found secrets now. Anybody have their ability to change weapons jam up on them? I was getting pounded with no option except to keep running in circles. Even after I found some ammo I couldn't reload. I eventually died and gave it up for the day.

weird, I haven't had any problems like that. Running dry on ammo swaps weapons, and I have never had a reloading issue at all.  Maybe it is jealous of FO4 and is acting out?

I noticed. Every time I hit the 'R' to reload it just changes my add-on. It's just a habit from all of the other shooter games I play. I still don't know what happened. I got a 'low ammo' warning, my gun wouldn't fire and I couldn't change weapons.

Well, I'm getting along better with DOOM these days. I am finding almost all of the secrets and beating all of the Rune trials. I still get lost even with a map to follow and end up running in circles for hours at a time before I figure things out for myself.
