I started a new game in slot #2 and when I selected 'Quit to Desktop' I got a BSOD. Then I had to delete Slot #2 because it said it was corrupted. Now every time I start the game I get some dribble about using Developer Commands will disable blah-blah-blah or something then do something else unless I restart. I didn't run any Console Commands, Developer Commands, or Mods so IDK what they are talking about.

I believe there is some type of fix for this if verifying the local game cache doesn't fix it. I had this problem only because the power in this house I moved into cut out and my UPS/surge protector wasn't set up yet. So in the middle of playing DOOM, bam, power just went out. I had to uninstall and reinstall Doom to fix this issue. I read a fix online somewhere but it did not work for me, only reinstalling. I didn't lose to much progress though.

I can't even launch the game now. It gets to the id screen and 'poof' I am sitting at Desktop looking at a Crash Report. I bought it way back on March 1 when GMG gave me a birthday discount. I'm going to try getting my money back. If that doesn't work I will just uninstall it. I can run around for hours and lose all of my progress because there is no way to create a Save and that is very annoying to me. Thanks for the suggestion.

I had the same issue... deinstalling MSI-Afterburner solved that for me... Denuvo can also be the cause.

Never had problems with AB before. I need it for my OC anyway. I can disable the OSD and see if that helps.

I had to add DOOM to the RTSS list and then disable the OSD for the game. I have to run some errands and will check it when I get back home. BCC was 'd1' which could have been a corrupt Page File. http://www.faultwire.com/solutions-fatal_error/DRIVER-IRQL-NOT-LESS-OR-EQUAL-0x000000D1-*1210.htmlFaulting Module was ' netbt.sys'. IRST shows no integrity violations or corrupt files found on my RAID-0 array. Verified the Game Cache for DOOM twice. After the first time it started a synchronization and after it updated it I verified again. I always used to run a fixed Page File size of 1024 MB and never had problems. Then I got some failed WU when Folding at Home because it was unable to increase the size of the Page File. I made the Page File larger and then larger still until I gave up and let Windows manage the size. Windows recommends a Page File size of 25 GB and it is currently at 16 GB. I have seen it go as high as 24 GB once or twice. If it gives me any more problems I will uninstall it and download and reinstall it. That'll be around 6 hours of download time again.

What do you guys think the minimum would be to get at least 40 FPS on medium at 1080? Looking at getting some older first generation i series stuff and a newer GPU. Haha

IDK, I was logging 3200 to 3400 GB of VRAM at max settings, motion blur off. Maybe a GTX-570 with 1.5 GB of VRAM could handle Medium setting, no AA and motion blur off.

It seems that you are activated the dev-mode... If you wanna get rid of that, you have to delete your complete savegame-folder and start from scratch... ^^

This is a common problem and a lot of players have it especially after a system crash. Mine started after a BCC "d1" BSOD crash which corrupted my 'saved' game. I just download and installed it again and I still have the same warning. I didn't install the MP package this time either since I only play the campaign part. There's a whole slew of supposed 'fixes' for this and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. https://community.bethesda.net/thread/14145?start=0&tstart=0I launched the game but didn't bother playing it yet. I really hate staring at those Crash Reports with a bewildered look on my face. Read the comment section...

I downloaded and reinstalled it hoping to fix the instability issues but I am afraid to play it any more. I waste too much time trying to reach a checkpoint and then having nothing to show for it except staring at a Crash Report sitting on my Desktop having to start all over again. I am baffled. It played fine except for my gameplay abilities, then it downloaded some kind of update and now I get nothing but trouble.

Zuhl... I got nothing in the cloud. You have to uninstall all your config + savegame stuff to restart without dev-mode... i had the same issue... it's no big deal... you gotta give the horde hell from the start. - Be manly! P.S. Delete the complete folder.

I checked into that earlier and got mixed opinions. Some had to start out fresh and others got their progress back from a cloud save. I Copied and Pasted my saves onto my Desktop just so I could restore the folder if I get no joy from it. One player deleted his saves, downloaded and reinstalled the game and then Pasted his old saves back into the 'id' folder and his problems were solved. He didn't have any cloud saves either. I was just starting to enjoy the game too. It was more than a little boring starting another new game in Slot #2 the first time.

No I haven't. It got it included as an incentive for purchasing my MSI GTX-980 Gaming 4G video boards. I chose Far Cry 4 when I got my first board and loved every minute of it. Not being very good at Third-Person-Shooters, I opted to give it to a fellow forum member. Apparently he was loving the heck out of it. What's the question? Are there similarities with these Crash Reports in that game? After seeing so many positive reviews about The Witcher 3 I am rethinking my botcott of TPS or RPG gaming.

Season Pass is only for MP maps. No extra DLC for the SP Mode. I never use MP to play online against others so I never looked into it.

I just got a DOOM update this morning. It finished downloading 0 of 0 bytes in seconds??? It's supposed to 'center' your gun whatever that means. I never noticed it before. Still afraid to play because of that 'Dev Mode' warning and all of the crashed to Desktop. I did find this and might try it later: https://community.bethesda.net/message/171466?et=watches.email.thread#171466 What have I got to lose at this point?
