Hey guys,

So this is pretty out there and I know I'm running on dated hardware, but I need some help.

I am running on the EVGA e760 Classified motherboard.  I recently picked up a GTX 950 for Overwatch.  After I installed it, my mobo freezes on post.  It detects my processor, then freezes.  I can't get into BIOS.

Am I so far out of date that the compatibility between the two are causing this issue?

I am at work so I don't have a ton of information to post up specs wise, but I can certainly give details if needed.  I noticed on the mobo it freezes on "4e" error.  I think that's just a system check for power? I think it just freezes at that moment and may not be directly connected to the issue.

Oh, powersupply wise I have a 900 watt PC Power and Cooling running on Gen1 i7.

Thanks for all your help!

[edit: Also very sorry for posting this in general discussion.  I couldn't find the right subforum to post in.  Please move this thread to a necessary location if needed.  Thanks!]

Put your old gpu back in and set the Memory Low Gap setting in the BIOS to "3G". Then try the 950 and see if it works.

    Thanks for the reply back.

To add to that.  I was running two GTX 275's in SLI.  I removed both of them, put the new GTX 950 in the top slot (this may be my issue.  Need to verify) and then this freezing issue started.

So I then replaced the 950 with just one of my 275's to see if would not freeze, but it still does.  I also haven't tried booting with no video card at all, but again, at work -- so will need to verify.

    Hmmm

Put one old 275 back in. Clear the cmos. See if that gets it working. Reflash latest bios if it starts working. Set memory low gap to 3G after reflash. Remove 275 and try the 950 again.

Awesome.  I will try all listed above and see where it takes me and then post a follow up.

    Thanks!

Switching Memory Low Gap to G3 worked like a charm.
